The Perk, evening

Susan had a big cup of coffee, for once. Yes, shock. She also had packing to do still, but she was taking a break to see her brother. A plate of cookies might also have been present.

[ooc: for [livejournal.com profile] once_a_king, but open for all your Perkly needs]

Peter arrived at the Perk shortly afterwards and bowed to, then hugged Susan.

"It's brilliant to see you without being under silence," he said with a grin.

Peter chose not to comment about the lack of fighting because he'd come to expect that type of statement from his sisters. "Yes, please," he said, smiling.

"Out of the habit of getting up before dawn?" Peter asked, gently teasing. "I'd never have guessed it of you.

"The week has been ridiculously calm and pleasant," Peter said. "Bucolic even if it weren't so very hot. Willow is lovely." And yes, that doofy smile was coming out again. "I think she was happy to help with something last week. Like us all."

Peter grinned at Susan with amusement. "I think she'll use the same one actually. But one never knows."

"Perhaps a sword," Peter said. "She's learning swordwork well." He took a cookie for the plate. "I shall do my utmost to keep all interesting things until Monday. It shall be my planned goal for the weekend." He grinned at her. "Try not to run into anything Fandom-like while you're in Chicago, hmm? Or I'll be forced to accompany you next time. We can't have..." he glanced around. "Well, we can't have anything happening to you."

"Oh, certainly, call me while you're shrieking so I feel even more helpless. What if we plan on you calling me after you and Miss Calendar have successfully vanquished the sugar-addicted pixies to tell me of your success?" Peter suggested, grinning. "And we really ought to. Where shall we go?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-21 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
"Precisely," Peter said, laughing. "Disneyworld? Perhaps not. Unless you still adore Mickey Mouse. New York would be brilliant. I wonder if it's anything like London."

Peter snickered. "Do you now? You don't wish an opportunity to tell him in person?" He shot Susan a glance at her pause. "I think I shall be staying. That was the impression I received at least. Perhaps during the break between summer camp and fall term would work. It's fairly close, isn't it?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-21 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
"I meant the location of New York," Peter said, stifling a smile. "And yes, at least that was the impression I got when I was at home. I hope it's accurate."

"I don't think it shall," Peter said, frowning as well. "It was still before Midsummer when I got home. So, perhaps? Time here doesn't affect time there."

"They take you away, and I shall be very displeased with them," Peter said, sternly. "Perhaps I will be." Peter thought about the possibility and smiled slightly. "It doesn't seem plausible that he'd send me back only to call me home again for good so soon."

Elated at seeing his sister so happy, Peter grinned in response. "You most definitely ought to. Just remember, if you enter a fairy hill, don't eat or drink. I don't particularly want to have to lead an invasion force this weekend."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-21 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
"You'll start a war to avoid going to a basketball match?" Peter said, looking hurt though his eyes were twinkling. "Isn't that perhaps a bit overkill?"

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-21 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
"A...time-out?" Peter asked, grinning. "That's your technical term for it, is it?" He shrugged. "The teams are being re-arranged before the next match actually. I think I'll be on the gold side this time."

[identity profile] once-a-king.livejournal.com 2006-07-21 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
"I do hope your trip is lovely. Will you tell Miss Calendar I send my greetings. And that Willow sends hers?" Peter asked. "I should go back to the cabin and work on my essay for tomorrow's workshop." He smiled then stood up to give Susan a hug.

"And you have an adventurous, funfilled vacation without any oddities beyond what the Yanks throw at you," Peter replied. "Good night, Su."
