The Perk, Thursday Afternoon (after morning workshops)
It was hot, Conner had a lot on his mind, and he'd been chased down the stairs this morning by a small horde of slinkies on his way to class. So in an attempt to cool off and think things over, he was sitting at a table in the Perk with a very large iced mocha and his laptop, absently browsing the Web. In between the various soccer video clips he was watching on YouTube, he'd glance out the window intermittently, as if expecting one of the slinkies to have suddenly become gigantic and attempt to stomp down the island.
. . . what? He'd seen weirder things grow to town-stomping proportions before.
[OOC: Open for your caffeiney needs. Bother the boy if you'd like, too. I'm bored, and I have my own spiffy and super-fast work computer back now instead of the slow loaner, huzzah!]

"The usual evil test is whether or not they seem to be trying to inflict harm on others," the Doctor said. "Harm without any sort of meaning of self defense."

Not that anybody had, to the best of Conner's knowledge, had this happen. But he'd had to fight a monster cobbled together from a flower and car parts once. Anything was possible, as far as he was concerned.

However, reviewing over the selection of options available, she was a little agog. Maybe she should just get a water, or something. But something caught her attention enough to make her mention it outloud, to no one in particular, "Iced coffee? What the hell's the point of that?"
