The Park; Wednesday Afternoon
Chrono was testing out the organ today, so Sister Rosette evacuated the church immediately. She didn't know if it was broken or what, but that thing sounded God-awful and she couldn't stand to be in that place, with it echoing so perfectly off the walls and giving her a headache and ugh. Whoever thought the organ was a good instrument for worship must have been deaf...
So she stopped by at All and Sundries to get a soccer ball and set to idly practising some footwork across the park, doing some fancy knee and head bounces, and generally having a good time. Especially since there was no Sister Kate to come out and yell at her on how soccer was neither ladylike nor holy.

Her intention, of course, was to have it go between the two trees she'd designated as goalposts. But, just as naturally, she'd missed her goal. It ended up hitting one of the trees; the rebound sent it right into Jane.
Eep! Well, Rosette hadn't noticed her; maybe Jane wouldn't notice the ball.

Her reaction is slightly delayed however. She just sits there for a moment and then snorts and looks around, tilting her head back because her hat is still over her eyes.
"Eh? Who dat!?"

She rushed over. "Sorry, sorry! That thing's got a mind of its own, or something..."

"I know what that's like... Holy shit it's a nun!"

...and then she realized, straightening with a nervous laugher and a finger pointed at herself. "Hehehe, oh, you mean me, don't you?"
no subject
"Did you forget?"

She vaguely recalled pouring a series of shots for this woman, but she was also pouring shots for herself so... The details were a little fuzzy.

"...Whiskey shots?" she guessed. The other girl bartended was one who gave her the drink with the name she found so funny, but couldn't remember why.

"I don't think I caught your name then?" She steered the conversation back into safer territory.

How very odd.
Nadia paused for a bit to watch.

She might have even succeeded in doing all this. It had been awhile since she'd played, after all.

No way was she going to let a nun show her up.
This is actually much better for how annoyed she's been than beating the dummy up in the gym was.

She half caught, half took the ball into her gut as it came back to her. There was definately nothing she could do in response to that one, so she smiled at the girl. " You're very good!" There was a friendly tone of awe in her voice.

She could see that, actually. Jesus, running around in cleated sandals, the apostles after him. . . .

But she did think about doing so.
