Jay and Silent Bob were having a heated debate over the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly.

Silent Bob was soooooo not being the sidekick in this relationship.

Tim felt the need for some convenience store type snacks on this Wednsday. Thus it was that he came upon the Quick Stop. And it's guardians.

"Look, lunchbox, I'm telling you -" Jay broke off midsentence as he saw the kid walk up. "Hey. Hey, you! Kid! I got a question for you."

Tim smirked at the sight. He'd forgotten about these two. "Hi." Tim greeted as he approached. "What's up?"

"Alright, so who's the fucking sidekick here, me or tubby?" Jay thumped Silent Bob on the chest and folded his arms across his chest, clearly waiting for a response in the former.

Silent Bob looked about the same way. Clearly, Jay was the sidekick.

Oh, crap. Okay, which one did he least want to piss off? "Uh," he flailed. "I've only, well...does there really have to be a sidekick? Like, in William and Theo's Grand Excapade, they were equal partners, neither of them were a side kick really."

He'd only met these guys what, twice now? How the hell should he know who the sidekick was?

Actually, that would probably be Bob.

"Fuck yeah there has to be a sidekick! It's like fucking Morris Day and the Time! I'm fucking Morris Day and my black manservant here is Jerome. Ain't that right, tubby?"

Bob just shook his head, lifting his hands in a 'why me?' gesture of resignation.

"Morris...Day?" Tim asked, sadly completely ignorant of that band. Neil would probably be apalled.

Jay and Silent Bob stopped their verbal and non-verbal bickering to turn and look at him.

Jay shook his head. "What the fuck is this world coming to, lunchbox?" he sighed, voice full of defeat. "When such fine musical artists such as Morris Day and the Time are completely unknown to the youth of today?"

Bob just looked grieved.

"Actually in 2006 i'm about 35." Tim said automatically, unaware that he may be making things worse.
