Blood Gulch Arms - Monday

It was a slow morning and Tex was doing some research on bows. It still was beyond her why anyone would bother with them. They were slow, highly ineffective against armoured troops and it didn't even make loud noises. They weren't even shiny like her energy sword!

Marty entered the store with a grin on his face and what appeared to be several tubes under his arms. "Hi Tex! Thanks for having those vests delivered. I thought I'd show you my appreciation with a small token of my appreciation."

"Yes but your quality of service is spectacular," Marty said laying out the tubes and a bag on the counter. "Which is why I got you some samples so you could start adding gift-wrapping as part of your services. See? They have little guns and c-4 containers on the wrapping paper and the bows look like little explosions."

"See... that could be considered bad business. Think about the holiday season and the last minute shopper," Marty reasoned. "The idea that they could get a grenade launcher is nice, but to have gift wrapping to boot? That would bring the customer back for additional purposes."

"That's the spirit!" Marty said cheerfully. "I'm glad you agree."

"Would I get an employee discount?" Marty asked.

"But they would be wrapped by me," Marty said pointing this out. "That's not much of a discount."

"Fifty bucks? Isn't that a bit steep?" Marty asked. "The paper itself is only three dollars a tube."

Pippi drops by Tex's shop before going to her afternoon workshop.

"Hello."

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-08-15 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hi there. I have a couple pieces of business today." Pippi said. "Firstly. Do you have anything..."

She tried to remember the word.

"Incendiary?"

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-08-15 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm thinking more like something that would burn from the inside once you've shot it into the target." Pippi said. "Is there anything like that?"

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-08-15 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"I dunno." she said. "I don't think a flare gun has enough punch ya know?"

"The individual that inspires me to inquire about this heals very quickly." Pippi said. "Very very quickly. So it occurred to me that something which causes lots of damage over a period of time would work better then something that does lots of damage all at once."

"I don't think a grenade can do enough." Pippi said.
