Walter (yes, rumpled) stopped in briefly in the afternoon to drop off a wrapped package (http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatSecondaryProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=224&Product_Id=1080822&Swatch_Id=) for Alfred.

If the kitchen staff knew about his birthday, Walter knew about it, too.

She certainly wasn't taking the opportunity to keep checking out Cafe Fina's security system. . . .

Walter was mildly surprised to see that Nadia had brought Alfred a gift, but not at all displeased.

"I did not realize there was a water balloon fight going on today. I will have to participate after I am done here."

At some point in the afternoon, Pippi shows up to Cafe Fina dripping wet with a large snake wrapped around her shoulders and torso with a box (http://www.sierratradingpost.com/eccStoreFront/stp/product_images/52157/F_52157_1.jpg) wrapped in (slightly damp) silver paper.
