Tim's at work, but he's not in the best of moods. Please come eat anyway, he promised himself he wouldn't take it out on anyone. Can't garuntee the service will come with a smile today though. Or much talking.

Jude entered Luke's with his customary jangle as he got tangled up in the door and then clatter as he coasted across the tile, and then a muffled whumpf as he bounced off the end of the counter.

"Dude!"

"Heh heh, mornin'," Jude chuckled almost sheepishly, flipping the board up to rest against the counter. "Just here to bug grill-dude into giving me some bread for the ducks. What's up?"

Unwelcome visit from home with bad news and confusing news

"Eh, not much. You?"

"Just about the same," Jude nodded. "Parents are bein' parent-like again, but I'll deal."

Tim winced reflexively. and swallowed. Glad he wasn't fully facing Jude at the time. "Yeah, my Mom can be annoying sometimes too." Not often, but sometimes.

"I think it's like, in their job description or something, bro."

Tim smirked. "Yeah. I try to remember that she must have been annoyed by her mom."

"And, someday, we may annoy our own children. While our parents rejoice in us being driven insane by them."

"So that's why our grandparents are always grinnin' around us," Jude said. "Well, from what I remember. Haven't seen 'em in a long time."

"Only ever met one of my grandmothers, and that was just once."

"Really? Too bad. Old people can be kinda interesting."

"Met my great grand uncle though."

"Dude! Cool. Was he like, awesome and drove a Harley or anything?" Jude knew someone whose great-grand-uncle owned a motorcycle and drove it cross-country.

"He seemed more like the train hopping type." Tim said, realizing he was getting dangerously close to things he didn't want to think about. "He was living in a cabin with a Boggart and Faust."
