Fred opens the shop as usual, laying out the mat. He props the door open today, as it is quite lovely outside.

River noticed a shop she hadn't visited before and peeked inside curiously.

Puck the Slinky saw if slinkies could see and I say they can River standing in the doorway and wagged if slinkies could wag and I say they can do that too excitedly. Fred, having heard Puck wag, poked his head around the corner to see what was up.

"Hi," he said cheerily to River. "Can I help you?"

River waved back to the slinky. Then she smiled at Fred. "Don't know if you can help me."

"Well there's nothing wrong with trying, is there?" he asked. He stuck out his hand.

"Fred Weasley's the name, mischief making's the game," he said.

River shook his hand. She might have stepped on the mat. "River Tam. Mischief sounds fun. Good business?"

The mat screamed loudly. "Wipe your feet, smelly!"

Fred chuckled at it.

"Nice to meet you, River," he said. "Mischief *is* fun. It's pretty good business too." He gestured to the shop. "This is actually a branch of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes--our primary store is in London. My brother George manages it."

River tried jumping up and down on the mat, hoping it would talk some more.

"Oh," she said. "Never been to London. I'm from the future."
