Our Lady of Fandom; Monday [08/28]

Chrono was such a good little demon. Not only did he, knowing that on her first day back, Rosette would get incredibly, ridiculously smashed at Caritas, stop by the bar to bring her home, but he already had lots and lots of strong, black coffee waiting for her when she woke up, and didn't even wait for instructions before he started to clean up after the week of disuse and tend to the little old ladies when they needed him. He even refused their request for some organ music.

Sister Rosette, meanwhile, was curved around her coffee in the sanctuary of a confessional, drinking as deeply as she could without getting nausious again. She was trying to figure out what she could blurrily remember from last night actually happened. Did she really talk about sex with a reverend? Or was that just some sort of unconscious brain thing because she missed Father Remington already?

She tried not to think about it too much. Made her head hurt.

[[ available for all your unholy needs; if you need Rosette, Chrono will just direct you to the confessional, so go ahead and step in. she might expect you to actually confess, though. Also, school started for me today, so I'll be slow, back and forth between breaks

Also? Inside the confessional is to always be NFB, pleaaase.]]

El came in to the church early in the morning.

He needed a wee bit of guidance and while the Reverend seemed like a good man, he was perhaps not best to seek the word of the Lord from.

"A confessional?" El asked the short purple haired boy. "That may be just what I need. Gracais." He walked into the confessional, sat down, and tried not to think about the other times he was in one of these.

El raised an eyebrow on his side of the pew. "I don't think I count as a lamb any more... sister. But I might as well confess my sins while I'm here."

"The short version," El said. "Is that I have killed a amazingly great number of people. Most of them deserved it. But some have died because of me. Some I loved. Can I ever really atone for such a thing?"

El sighed. "It's easy to pull a trigger. It's harder to write a song. And it's even harder than that to teach someone else to sing. I don't know if I have the strength."

El thought about the conversation he had had with Jesse Custer the night before. Jesse hadn't seemed to think that was the case.

"Perhaps you're right, sister."

River popped into the church to see the nice nun. And perhaps discuss the music and dancing issue. She approached the altar and bowed before it, then lay down on the floor with her arms outstretched, looking up into the ceiling. She smiled peacefully.

River smiled up at him. "I like the ceiling."

"No?" River frowned, still lying on the floor. "Why not?" She wondered who this was and where the funny nun had gone.

River sat up, looking very disappointed. "Oh. Is Sister Rosette here?"
