The TARDIS, Sunday Early Evening
The problem with following a ball of light around during the daytime is that it's easy to lose in sunlight. Bad enough the thing had felt the need to take the most circuitous route possible and give Conner the nickel tour of all the Fandom side streets; thanks to a couple of inopportune encounters with shiny reflective surfaces, he'd lost track of the locator spell and ended up having to track it down. Inevitably he'd overrun it by a block or two, double back, and have to sweep the area until he found the thing again. Lather, rinse, repeat.
So it was early evening by the time the spell led him, tired and slightly panicky, back to Apocalypse Avenue, near Cafe Fina, and up to the big blue police box.
"Can't be right," he muttered. "What a weird place to hide . . ."
But this was where the spell told him he needed to be, so with a slightly resigned shrug Conner raised one fist and rapped sharply on what appeared to be the door.
[OOC: For the inhabitants of the TARDIS and the (theoretical) object of Conner's search.]

"Hello there, Conner McKnight," he said, opening the door fully, but standing in it. "What brings you here?"

He knocked on the door to the room that Marie was in.
"Marie? You have a visitor."

Her eyes widened when she saw Conner.
