She'd made the appointment earlier in the week, making a reservation for the "Blushing Bride" package. Once she arrived, it had taken a while to explain that she was not, in fact, getting married; it was simply the cheapest and best way to get all the services she needed. The receptionist was still skeptical. By the time Laura was escorted back for her 55 minute massage, rumors were circulating that, despite her protests, she was secretly eloping that night, and wanted to look her best for her clandestine rendezvous.

Laura was blissfully unaware and lost in the soft scent of lavender.
