The Perk, Tuesday Morning

Waking early after some strange dreams of a shadowy figure dancing a tango with Bill and herself airlocking said shadowy figure, Laura made the decision to get out a bit. She had work she needed to do, but there were places other than her office or the library to do them. Packing up her things, she made her way to The Perk.

Ordering a grande mocha, she then settled into one of the overstuffed chairs, busily reading and taking notes. She hoped she would move into twentieth century references soon.

[Open for all your Tuesday-morning-Perk-ish needs. Laura is available for interaction, though responses will be scattered because meh, at work.]

Clark, newspaper in hand entered the Perk, and decided to experiment. He got ordinary coffee, but asked them to mix in some hot chocolate mix. He saw Laura and waved.

Honor entered The Perk, Nimitz perched on her shoulder. For some reason beyond her understanding, coffee smelled much better than it actually tasted. So, rather than coffee, she ordered her usual hot chocolate.

Honor pulled back from her sip of hot chocolate and blinked, glancing around. She spotted the auburn-haired woman seated in the chair. "Yes?"

"Ah, Professor Roslin." She extended her hand and shook Roslin's with a firm but steady grip. "This" -- she paused, indicating the treecat -- "is Nimitz."

The treecat offered his hand in the manner of the two-legs.

Honor smiled. "I'd be happy to help," she replied. "I think we even have a few students in common." Her eyes flitted to the clock on the wall. "I do, however, have to be at home to accept a comm in about ten minutes. Could we set up a time to meet and talk?"

Pursing her lips, Honor reached up and scratched Nimitz a bit under the chin. Through her link with the treecat, she sized up Roslin. "Actually, my steward, Mac, serves an incredible brunch, and there's usually plenty left over. Would you care to join me Sunday morning, around ten?"

"None at all. Mac is happiest when he's fussing over someone. I try to draw as many other people into the line of fire as I can." She gave a wry grin, extending her hand. "I'm at 28 Sphinx Street. A pleasure to meet you, Laura Roslin. See you Sunday."
