Our Lady of Fandom; Monday [ 09/25 ]

Whistling slightly, Sister Rosette sat in the confessional today with the gun case, cleaning out her guns. They hadn't been getting much use around here lately, sure, but tht was all the more reason to make sure they were being maintained properly. And she figured the privacy of the confessional was a good spot to do it, as the little old ladies might not react well if she just sat in a pew and worked on them.

Chrono went about the usual cleaning tasks, ready to direct anyone to the nun should they need her.

[[ open for all your churchly needs ]]

Being quiet in a church was good. Hence River tried sneaking up on the nun. Her eyes widened when she saw the guns. "Church needs defending?" she asked.

"Oh," River said, trying to look guilty. "But you didn't answer my question." She smiled sweetly.

River nodded. "I just came to say hello," she said. "And it's good that the church doesn't need protection. But if it does, I'll help." It felt good to be able to offer that.

Laura wore a scarf draped over her head as she entered, her gaze wandering as she tried to take in her surroundings. It was the first time she'd been in a stone-and-mortar temple since leaving Caprica. She took special note of the various religious symbols around the church, not sure if she recognized any of them.

Eyes fixed on the votives, she moved forward and knelt at the altar. She then withdrew a small, rolled piece of parchment. She swallowed hard, then watched as the flame danced closer to it, held over a candle.

Her mind made up, Laura allowed the flame to light the tiny scroll, and she watched as it burned. The heat crept closer and closer to her fingers until she was finally forced to allow it to drop into one of the votive holders.

"Lords of Kobol, hear my prayer," she said quietly. Her gaze drifted to the paper that was now consumed and quickly becoming ash. A wistful smile played across her lips. "So say we all."
