Wine, Wenches 'n Song [4-6pm FDT]
Barbossa was dancing around the studio to "Me Hips Be Not Lyin'" before it was time for the broadcast to begin.
The members of Teal Dear who had assembled were probably traumatized. "Pirate" and that particular definition of "booty shakin'" should not be acquainted.
After the song was over, Barbossa flipped the microphone on. "It be Thursday, which be makin' the program Wine, Wenches 'n Song, 'n me Barbossa." He spun around in his chair. "Today I be havin' special guests in the studio--they be members o' the Fandom-grown band Teal Dear. Who be not actual deer, in case ye be wonderin'. They be playin' their first concert o'er at Caritas on Saturday 'n be here t' make sure that it be more than the zombie band watchin' them do it. Please be givin' them a hearty welcome."
He pressed a button on the console and the sound of applause came out of the speaker.
"So I be here t' take yer requests, the band be here if ye be wantin' t' chat wit' them, and the squirrels be in the studio t' get the band's autographs. It be quite the busy day here at Pirate Radio. The phone lines be open. Bother us!"

Make a request!
Re: Make a request!
"Yes? I'd like to request 'It's Raining Men' by The Weather Girls, dedicated to Aziraphale, please?"
Re: Make a request!
Re: Make a request!
No one got hurt in this little vision but...it just seemed a Fandom sort of thing to have happen.
"I will take responsibility for such an act if it occurs. I also promise to save you from any stray flaming swords which might try to hit the building."
Re: Make a request!
He pressed the button and "It's Raining Men" blasted from the speakers.
Re: Make a request!
"I do suppose eventually one of will win this, but in the meantime...would you play Teen Angel by Donovan and dedicate it to Dr James Wilson?"
Re: Make a request!
Re: Make a request!
Was it? Oh no. Now Aziraphale was fretting, thinking maybe Wilson would think that he was trying to dedicate a song about people dying. "Do you think I should pick something else?"
Re: Make a request!
Barbossa was not exactly suited to comforting people.
Re: Make a request!
"Quite. Well then....I'd like that song, please. Although next time, I'll try and pick one that isn't titled the same as a song about...dying a horrible and tragic death."
Kind of put a damper on the spirit of their little competition.
Re: Make a request!
He pushed the button on the console to play the song.
Re: Make a request!
Dear Lord they were getting evil, particularly given the *cough* memories that song stirred in him.
Hmmm...so the angel wanted to play at that level eh? Okay, Wilson could do this.
Calling back in to the pirate, Wilson asked in his sweetest tone.
"Hello again, ah...if it's not too much trouble, would you play 'Sugar Walls' by Sheena Easton, dedicated to Aziraphale...please?"
Re: Make a request!
He pressed the button.

He pulled the song up. "This be Dire Straits fer the Teal Dear," he said, pressing the button.

He waved towards the members of the band. "Any or all o' ye can answer, o' course. Jes give me good listeners yer name first 'n what instrument ye be playin'."

She didn't look like she was in a very good mood.
Re: Talk to the band!
It was a bit underwhelming.

On cue, three squirrels came racing out of the archives and looked at Willow expectantly.

And then a slightly disasterous attempt to shove an entire bar into a squirrel mouth at the same time. It was a little bigger than an acorn.
The other two squirrels pointed and snickered, then held up matching "thanC ye!" signs.

Re: Visit the studio!
After a brief consultation, they held up another sign. "moOr laTR?"
The squirrels could use a dictionary.
