With very exaggerated tip-toeing steps, Rosette did her best to be all secret and stealthy following John into the shop. She thought she just may have broken past the skin on her lower lip as she bit down on it to keep down the excited squeals within her. What was going to be a very disappointing, chocolate-milk night was turning out to be an adventure. She couldn't ask for anything more.

Well, she could ask for vodka. But that was coming very soon. YAY.

John opened the back room of the shop, which was very well-protected, sonically, from the rest of the shop by all of the random crap. Still, John speaks in quiet tones as he does the "Ta daaaa" of presentation to the still and containers of product.

Rosette also continued to be quiet in her "yay"s and pantomiming applause while she bounced a little, grinning.

John used his handy flashlight ~~buy me one?~~ (http://9voltlight.com/) to find a desk lamp and turn it on.

"HEre she be!"

"Ah!" One hand fell against Rosette's chest while she placed the back of the other against her forehead as she feigned a brief, fake swoon. "A sight for sober eyes!"

"Hey, now, no collapsing in the shop. Don't wanna be doing CPR on the floor. DOn't know where it's been. Speaking of floor, there's some chairs around here somewheres..." John starts waving the flashlight around to find chairs. And drinking receptacles.

Rosette didn't know what see-pea-arr was, but it made her giggle none-the-less, and she started searching the room as best she could.

Finally, she located at least half of what they need. "I found stuff for sitting!" she announced proudly, struggling a little at first to assemble the folding chair.

"And I found stuff for drunking." John opened a vintage-looking picnic set ~~that the mun totally bought at an estate sale today~~ and produced glasses.

"Commence drunking!" Rosette announced. Quietly, but certainly not lacking enthusiasm.

"Drunking commenced!" JOhn fills up her glass and fills his. "You want mixers?"

"Mixers?" Rosette's head tilted.

"SOmething to go in the glass besides vodka? I've got cola, orange juice, some sour mix..." John rummages through a small dorm fridge with an older TV on top.

"What would you recommend? Last time, I just drank it straight." Rosette found herself blushing a bit at her ignorance. She still had so much to learn about drinking....

"Straight's good. Vodka sour's got a bit of sour mix, like lemonade without the sugar. Sorta. Cola... well, vodka and Coke isn't as good as Rum and Coke, but it's not bad. Orange juice? That's a Screwdriver, when it's with the V." John rummages through the fridge ~~totally showing off his ass~~.

"Oh! I have had a screwdriver before," her face twisted, recalling that horrible event, and then her stomach turned at possibly having to go through that again by trying something else. "I, uh, I'll just drink it straight. No surprises there. No point in ruining a good drink."

Rosette supported her statement with a drink. Ahhhh, allllcohol.

"That'll work. Er, did you find a second chair? Oh, there it is." John swigs back some of the fruits and vegetables of his labors. Or... labors of his fruits and veggies. Something. "So how is it?"

Considering that Rosette can't answer right away because she's draining a significant amount? Pretty good. And, man, the girl could sure hold her vodka.

Grinning, she wiped a little dribble from the corner of her mouth. "I approve."

"Okay, if you're not gonna be able to drink it properly, then you don't get to test the new batch when it's finished." John grinned goofily.

"Whad'ya mean, not drink it properly," Rosette stuck her tongue out at him. "I'm not the one talking about ruining a perfectly fine drink by putting thinks like orange juice in it. Mixers," she concluded, "are for wusses."

"Yeah, but mixers cut down on the hangover. very slightly. ANd they don't cause you to drool. Well, much." John refills his glass and puts in some orange juice. For the health of it.

"I don't mind hangovers so much," Rosette decided. "They mean I have an excuse to sleep in the confessional all day and drink a lot of coffee." She nodded, and took another long, hard drink. Damn, it was good stuff. Her hand drifted to her stomach, though. She'll have to remember that vodka didn't chase chocolate milk very well at all.

"Must be nice. I've got a long hard day of nothing planned, so I'm just gonna lay in bed, chewing vitamins and drinking water. Which reminds me..." John reached in his pocket and pulled out a plastic film canister.

"Want one?" he asked, offering oen of those B-something megakilo vitamins that's supposed to ward off hangovers.

Rosette's eyes narrowed, scrutentizing the offering, as she, quite absentmindly, rocked forward on the chair, so that the back two legs were up in the air. It brought her close enough to see, though. "What're they?"

JOhn leaned 'em over to her. "Vitamins. Cuts down on hangovers." oooookay, that vokda deschaied to hit jOHN pretty hard now. like shledgshhammersh.

It was working its way through Rosette pretty quickly too. "Vitamins?" she asked, going to go reach for one, but she her foot slipped, causing her to lose her balance on the already unbalanced chair. It pushed itself out from underneath her and she fell forward with a surprised little gasp, right into John. There was a bit of flailing to keep from falling on her face that sent the vitamins flying, and Rosette settled only after practically clinging to John for dear life, the rest of her positioned awkwardly between him and the escaping chair. She giggled, her face filling with colour. "oooooops. Hehehe."
