The Perk - Saturday
Wilson woke feeling a bit blah. Nothing he could specifically put his finger on, he and Phale had enjoyed a night of pool and giving each other a hard not!dirty time about domestic chores. There had been a lot of laughing.
But this morning...Wilson felt kinda 'meh' so when Phale mentioned something about grading papers, Wilson kicked around the apartment, then packed up his own briefcase and headed down to the Perk for some coffee. Maybe a good triple strong latte would help.
And a muffin...cause muffins helped everything.
It took a couple of trips to get his quad latte and his muffin, since he was still struggling with things one handed but in short order he settled down in a chair with his extra tall caffiene concoction, muffin and some papers of his own to grade.
For some reason, he felt the need to sing John Denver's, "Leaving, On a Jet Plane" under his breath.
[ooc:Feel free to poke Wilson, he's not waiting for anyone particular I'm headed out for a bit will be back this evening Back! or use for your own caffiene needs!]

"Plus it will make me sad and I know how to kill people who make me sad and leave no forensic evidence."

"Hey there, Abby! How are you doing?"

Or sing more John Denver.
Giving his head a shake, Wilson wondered about this and quickly focused himself on Abby's question.
"Oh, ah. Demon attack." He said, pointing at the shoulder. "And...I don't rightly know about the Denver. Just seemed to be thinking about his songs today for some reason. Well, not all his songs, just some of them."

"I've got an iPod full of Screaming Death's new album if you need help getting away from the Denver." Abby shivered.

Doom...sigh...doomdoomdoomdoomdoomdoomdoomdoomdoomdoomdoomdoom.
Wilson facepalmed.
"Guh. Huh? Oh, uh...'Screaming Death' ehhh...got any new Tool?"

He caught sight of Wilson and raised his hand in greeting. "Hey, Dr. Wilson," he said.

"Morning, Bel." Wilson waved him over, and smiled. "It's good to see you."

"Hurts, though the drugs are kinda nice let me tell you. The resident who did the work that night was too sleep sodden to tell one end of her needle from the other but Dr. Troy fixed everything up right, now it's just a case of knitting and stark reminders of why I like having two working hands." He said the last with a hint of wryness.
"How have you been feeling?" He asked, concern in his dark eyes.

"Is she going to be ready to be back?" He asked, having learned about the mugging the night before from Aziraphale.

"Things were pretty chaotic and I realized that I never got a chance to properly thank you, Belthazor. Thank you. For helping him and for saving my life. I should have told you earlier."

SIGH.
Her life... sucked.
Hmm. Yes. That phrase fit. Never mind that there were clues to Narnia, and her brother was here, and actually this semester had been going well. Her life sucked.
Right. This was ridiculous.
She headed to the Perk for some tea. Tea made everything better.
Except it didn't. She still had the blues. Not the urge to sing them, but...sigh.
She took a seat near the window, feeling small and pitiful and alone in the world. *sniffle*

Almost heaven, West Virginia, Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River.
Life is old there, older than the trees, younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze.
Country roads, take me home to the place I belong.
West Virginia, mountain momma, take me home, country roads.
All my memories gather round her, miner's lady, stranger to blue water.
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky, misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye.
Country roads, take me home to the place I belong.
West Virginia, mountain momma, take me home, country roads.
I hear her voice in the morning hour she calls me, the radio reminds me of my home far away.
And driving down the road I get a feeling that I should have been home yesterday, yesterday.
Country roads, take me home to the place I belong.
West Virginia, mountain momma, take me home, country roads.
Country roads, take me home to the place I belong.
West Virginia, mountain momma, take me home, country roads.

Great, now I'm applying attributes to rain.
"Ah, yes... gorgeous day." He agreed with a bright grin.

She sniffled, then dabbed at her eyes with her napkin, hoping James didn't notice. "Where is Azriphale? Is he sleeping in?"
