Our Lady of Fandom; Saturday [ 09/30 ]
Sister Rosette stood at the graveyard gate, leaning on one of the pillars of the stone arch and watching Chrono wandering among the tombstones with a deep frown. "Come on, Chrono, stop all this," she said, gripping an umbrella over her shoulder. It wasn't raining yet, but it certainly did seem like it could start at any time. And she didn't know how long she'd be at this. "Come inside, please. I've already put locks on all the crypts; you're not slinking into them."
Chrono didn't respond. Just kept drifting, drifting, head lowered, face pale and wan. Rosette sighed. She hadn't seen him like this in years...what had happened to make him behave like he had....before? It was like they were back in Michigan, back when she and Joshua first found him. He just kept...drifting. Occationally, his hands would drift up to his head, just behind the temples, and let out something like a sob. Each time he did that, Rosette cringed, like she was being stabbed.
"Oh, Chrono...Please...."
He had to relapse while she had a terrible headache from last night, didn't he? Occationally, she glanced over her shoulder, to see if anyone might want anything. She had no intention of leaving Chrono when he was like this. If anyone needed anything, they could handle it themselves...
She stamped her foot on the ground. "Chrono! God dammit! Don't make me come over there and kick your ass!"
He just glared at her; she sighed, leaning back against the pillar. "Stupid demon..."she muttered to herself, "Oh, boo hoo, eternity in misery, blah blah blah. At least he's had more than thirty years..."
[[ open and emo; though, if you show up after John, you'll be dealing with just the emo demon. ]]

But she turned her attention back to John and shook her head. "But that's...a really long story, something I don't want to bore you with now." She smiled, gave him a quick look up and down. "Especially since you look a bit like a man on a mission..."

JOhn looked down at his garb. "You mentioned exploration...
handwavily, after the assgrab"no subject
"And I did mention exploration, didn't I?" Rosette smiled a bit. "You wanna? I mean, I ain't got nothing better to do than watch this guy all day. And he's being particularly stubborn and obnoxious!" That last part she threw intentionally over her shoulder toward Chrono. The purple-haired demon boy just shook his head, placidly continuing on his way.

"Sure. I've been dyin' to get down there, root around, and see what's there since you've mentioned it."

Before she headed for the church, though, she found a rock and threw it at the headstone Chrono was passing by. "Oi! Chrono! Watch the church for me, okay?"
"You know I'm not setting a foot inside that building, Rosette."
She sighed. "Fine, whatever; you're still not getting into any of those crypts, dammit! I'm taking the keys with me!" She grunted, scowling at him, and then took John's arm and marched for the church doors. "Come on; let's get to work."

so he didn't stare at her ass. "Why's he want in the crypts? Is that where your still is?"no subject
Carefully, she cracked open the doors to the church, poking her head in first and taking a look around before stepping in and holding the door open for John to follow. "Good, they're not here," she said, refering to the little old ladies. They must be having their cribbage game today. "The last thing I need right now is to have to deal with them tomorrow, yammering about the Devil-Nun leading a man into the church basement..."
"They don't particularly like me, I don't think."

JOhn gave Ms Devil Nun the once-over. "WHat's not to like? Sometime today, you'll have to explaind hte devil nun thng and Mopey McEmo outside."

She opened the door at the side of the church that lead to the basement, flickering on the lights that buzzed slightly as they illuminated the way down the wooden stairs. THe main basement looked a lot better once Rosette and Chrono had gotten to cleaning and decorating it after so long of disuse. Noticing her bedroom door to the left of the bottom of the stairs open and revealing the mess within, she very quickly and subtly closed it before nodding toward the dark end of the basement.
"Over there's all the unexplored stuff. The lights don't work down there, and we never bothered to get 'em fixed, because we only really use this area here."

"So what kinda gun?"

that the gun-clueless mun won't even try to pretend to know. She completed her schpiel by giving it a showy twirl around her finger before settling it back against her palm. She beamed considerably. God, she missed shooting.no subject

Her eyes widened. "Aw, crap, what if I can't get ammo for it anymore, and I have to write to creepy pervert Elder to send me more?" She sighed miserably; better start packing up her bloomers now. Creepy pervert Elder. What the hell was a man like him working for an order of nuns in the first place?
But the moment passed, and she slipped her gun idly back into its holster, taking up the item he'd thrown to her. "And what's this?" Rosette began to inspect it, sliding it from the case.
"Ooooohhhhh...."
