Jeff. GOB's, Wednesday Lunchtime

Angela ordered a Greek salad and a large iced tea and took a seat by the window. She was in a good mood as she flipped through her copy of the play she was trying to memorize a monologue from for acting class.

She couldn't believe it was time for Homecoming again already.

[OOC: Mostly for Marty, but open.]

"Hey you," Marty said giving Angela a quick peck on the cheek before sitting down. "What are you reading?"

[identity profile] oatmanspatient.livejournal.com 2006-10-04 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
"Really? Wow. I can totally see you in the part of Julia," Marty said picking some tomatoes off his sandwich wrap. "Who's playing Roman?"

[identity profile] oatmanspatient.livejournal.com 2006-10-04 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh yeah, you'd be great as her," Marty said confidentially. "If you need me to hang out below your window while you run your lines for inspiration, I'll be happy to do so. Will anyone outside of the class be able to see this?"

"Not much other than classes. I hung out in the common room the other night with a ouija board and tried to convince people it actually worked."

"That's right you got there later!" Marty said smacking his head. "I'm a horrible boyfriend. Yeah, class is pretty cool I guess. I had to explain what a sitcom was to one of the students in the 21st Century class thing. That was interesting. He seemed to have moral objections to the use of a laugh track."

Marty grinned as he poked at his sandwich. "Usually I just look at the TV funny and feel perplexed but I get what you mean. Nobody likes to be the one that doesn't get the joke."

Molly walked in, looked around for Cam and waved to Angela and Marty when she spotted them.

Seeing Cam not there yet, she ordered a sandwich, soda and chocolate chocolate chip cookie before claiming a table at the back to wait for him.

Cameron arrived a little bit later. He nodded at Angela and Marty before moving over to where Molly was sitting. "Yo!"

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-10-04 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Having just taken a bite of her sandwich, Molly looked up and gave him a small wave in greeting.

Sitting down across from her, Cameron raised an eyebrow. "I take it they didn't have a god of biscuits in New York?"

Molly shook her head and swallowed. "There was a town near the school, but there wasn't much there. Nothing like Jeff's anyway."

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-10-04 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
"Shame," he quickly scanned the menu. "Hang on a sec," he said, getting up and moving towards the counter to place his own order.

He returned a bit later, already with his ice tea. "Next thing you're going to tell me that they didn't have troopers on the street."

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-10-04 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Molly grinned. "Not a one," she said. "Can you see why I had to come back now?"

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-10-04 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yep," he deadpanned. "A town without troopers just isn't a town."

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-10-04 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Molly snickered and took another, smaller bite of her sandwich. She chewed and swallowed quickly.

"So, what have you been up--" She shook her head and laughed at herself. "It's so weird. I haven't seen you in three months so I keep thinking that there's all this stuff you must have done, but it's only been two weeks for you. I want to ask about your family and what you did over the holidays, but you haven't done any of that yet."

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-10-04 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"Nope, but if you have email us or something I might have replied and then you could have informed me of what I'm going to do during the holidays," he pointed out.

[identity profile] bruiser-in-pink.livejournal.com 2006-10-04 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Molly grinned but then gave him an apologetic shrug. "Yeah, sorry. I've never been good at the keeping in touch thing." She took a sip of her soda and leaned back in her seat.

"The first month I was at home, in California, with my friends and I didn't actually even think about school for most of the time." She sighed and played with her napkin, folding and unfolding it. "Then, when everything with my friends was okay and I felt like I could leave again without worrying about it, I came back and couldn't get back to the island." She looked up at Cam again. "I didn't know if anything would go through after that and I was kind of afraid to try. Principal Washburn said that they never did receive the email from Xavier's telling them I was transferring."

[identity profile] cameronmitchell.livejournal.com 2006-10-04 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Cameron frowned. "How come you couldn't get back?"

[identity profile] oatmanspatient.livejournal.com 2006-10-04 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Marty waves back. He's friendly like that.
