Stuff for Sale, Late Afternoon

After stopping by cheerleading practice, Isabel headed down to Stuff for Sale to meet Alanna and help her find something to wear for Homecoming. While she waited she browsed through the dresses, glad she'd already found hers online.

After Hunting, Dawn realized that the time had come--she had to buy a dress, if for no other reason so she could tell Sam the color. She walked in, saw the array of dresses, and almost turned around and walked back out until she saw Isabel. "Isabel! Help! Buffy got all the shopping genes."

Isabel grinned. "Sure Dawn. What were you thinking? Long? Short? Black?"

"I don't know..." she said looking through a rack at random. "Short, I think. Girly, but not slinky. And I want good heels, because Sam's so tall that I can wear them."

Just as soon as she learned to walk in them.

Dawn cocked her head. "I like it a lot, but I look corpselike in brown."

"I don't know...you don't think it's too plain?" Dawn picked it up anyway. Maybe it would look better on. "Looks a little too Dru, though."

"If you see a small, black, purple eyed cat? Kill it." Alanna said as she walked in alone.

"Hi Alanna!" Isabel waved. "What did Faithful do?"

"Told Door that she should ask me about underwear for homecoming." Alanna looked like she wanted to hide somewhere.

"Why?" she asked. "Or was he just being goofy?"

"Radio. He was being a brat." Alanna sighed. "Do we have to do this?"

"I'll have to start catching his show then." Isabel grinned and started to lead the way into the racks of dresses. "You don't have to. But I think you'd feel a little odd showing up in your regular clothes when everyone else is dressed up."

Lavender chewed on her bottom lip nervously. She had no idea how to pick out muggle clothes. She waved to a pretty blonde she didn't recogzine.

"Hi!" Isabel waved. "Shopping for Homecoming?"

"Hi!" Lavender grinned. "I'm trying. Clothes here are a little different than what I'm used to."

"Oh really?" she asked. "Why's that? And where's that?"

"London, 1996. But I'm a witch so I'm used to robes."

"London? Witch? Hogwarts?" Isabel blinked.

Aeryn may be a bit of a masochist, which is why she's here at almost the last second. It's dress shopping. She'd rather procrastinate there.

Isabel's first thought is to ask if Aeryn is lost. But then she thought better of it. "Hi!" she waved.

Aeryn smiles a little in greeting and says, "I'll be glad to know I'm not the only procrastinator."

"Actually I have my dress. I found it online a few weeks ago," Isabel said with a sheepish shrug. "I was here to help Alanna and wound up hanging out with Dawn and Lavendar as well."

"You've been drafted into a job, hm?" she says, looking idnly through a rack. And frowning a lot at one.
