Luke's Diner, Thursday
Jude was bouncing around the diner as much as sagging shorts and perpetually bad posture would allow him to bounce. He was going home tomorrow! With his girlfriend! Dude!
Luke's is open.
Luke's is open.

"And how was class today, love?"

"Oh...about as challenging as ever." Wilson said with a hint of a wry smile on his face. "I think the topic twinged a nerve in a few and I even was careful to keep the whole 'religeous' angle out of it."

He touched his hand briefly to Wilson's and set down his menu. "At least no one's protesting your class," he added, with a smile.

"I'll be giving them their first test next week, I'm going to have to spend some time coming up with good scenarios and questions for them. Oh! Speaking of time...err...I picked up a couple of shifts at the clinic."
no subject
"Oh, did you? That's wonderful, James! What shifts will you be working?"
It was possible he was already trying to decide if he'd be spending those shifts at the clinic, or finding himself something to do to fill the empty time.

"Ah, by the way...would you mind helping me with some homework I have to grade?" Wilson looked sweet and innocent, his best boyish 'who me?' expression. It was all together possible he was attempting to fob off Willow's homework on the angel.
....
He doubted it would work.

In fact, that statement might well have been the beginning of a tradition.
And Wilson was wrong about the homework, although he did get a curious eyebrow quirk from Aziraphale. "Of course I'll help you, love. What would you like me to do?"
no subject
"No, love it's all right. I just...was joking. Miss Rosenberg puts a great deal of time and effort into her homework so if say I ask for a page long essay, she'll submit a twenty page baby thesis complete with footnotes and references to materials beyond the original required text. It's all good mind you, I'm glad to see the academic interest but having her, Blair and Miss Granger all in one class...their homework papers alone could break the straps on my briefcase."

He mused a little on his students for a moment, and was reminded that Phoebe had been missing. "I don't suppose you've heard anything about Phoebe, have you? I was hoping she might come by office hours, but I didn't see her, and I'm becoming awfully worried, she's been away so long."
no subject
"She was in class today. Seemed rather subdued but came by afterwards and was...upset that she wasn't around to help last week. I told her not to fret upon it. Maybe she's distracted by Homecoming and anniversary stuff, love?"
Wilson put the suggestion out there, genuinely hoping that was in truth the only issue and not that something had come up with Bel.

Aziraphale hoped as well that his argument with Bel hadn't translated over to troubles with Phoebe, but he was sure that she'd seek him out if she was angry. He'd see her in class, and find a few minutes to talk to her.
Snitching a bit of cucumber from Wilson's salad, he traded a french fry of his own for it. "What shall we do this afternoon, love?"
no subject
"Seems to be a nice enough day, want to take a walk around town? Maybe check out some of the new stores?"

Such as...for leaf rustling.
"How did your office hours go, lover?"
no subject
He looked as proud of that statement as if he'd arranged it himself.

"Seems you have made a friend of young Miss Tam. Hopefully sometime she can stop by for bad movies and dinner with Blair, I'd like to meet her."
There was a flicker of something in Wilson's eyes...a good something but he still lowered his lashes and kept it to himself regardless.
"Homecoming does seem to have brought the lovebirds out hasn't it? Almost as bad as the Valentine's Day ball."
no subject
"I'd quite like that. Although with your clinic hours now, we'll have to be sure to move it to Fridays instead. Perhaps next week, once everyone's recovered from Homecoming."
He smiled at the mention of Valentine's Day, although a little bit of a shadow passed across his eyes. Aziraphale still hadn't completely reconciled what had happened.

He found it interesting how many unusual people there were in Fandom. Especially ones he wouldn't classify as quite exactly human.
[ooc: Yep, he totally would!]
