Wine, Wenches 'n Song [4-6pm FDT]

"This be Thursday, I be the pirate, 'n ye be listenin' t' Wine, Wenches 'n Song on Pirate Radio," a very familiar voice announced. "Today be the day before Homecomin', so if any o' ye ladies 'n gents be lookin' fer datin' advice--not ye, Sam, ye be a eunuch--the phone lines be open. Bother me!"

Barbossa flipped the music to Jimmy Buffett, opened up a bottle of rum, and waited for the phone to ring.

"Aye, that's the one," Barbossa said, cheerfully slandering Sam's name. "And I be not seein' Faithful recently. Should I be gettin' the squirrels on it?"

Dawn called, deepening her voice and using her very best British accent. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible.

"Hello? Yes. I'm calling to set the record straight. Sam Winchester is not a eunuch. Your sources must be misinformed."

Barbossa laughed. "I be not enquiring too closely as t' how the sources be gettin' this manner o' information, but they be never wrong."

It was amazing Barbossa could say that without lightning striking him down.

She made a sound that may have been the cleaning of imaginary glasses. "Well, then they must have outsourced the research, because I tell you, my good man, Sam Winchester is not now, nor has he presumably ever been, a eunuch. Perhaps you're misunderstanding the meaning of the word?"

Or maybe she was, but that didn't seem as plausible.

"Since bein' a eunuch be not somethin' that be easily fixable, I be guessin' that it be a rather permanent bit," Barbossa laughed, "or lack thereof, o' himself."

He paused. "Why be ye so concerned wit' this?"

John listened to the radio and wasn't sure why they were talking about whether Sam was anatomically correct, but decided to put the record straight before it got any more out of hand.

Not believing he actually had to do this, John called in. "Hello? I'm John Winchester. The Sam you're maligning is my son. He is not a eunuch."

"I'm calling on behalf of the Eunuchs United Fedaration," he said, struggling to keep his voice both high and not break down into laughing. "We've heard of a young man who may be in need of our support and aid, a Sam Winchester? We want him to know there is nothing shameful in being a eunuch; there is no need to hide it - or the lack of it - any longer."

"Yes. So everybody knows that now?" Buffy sounded a bit more calm and a little quizzical. "People can totally ask me out without fear of being Lorena Bobbitted! I swear! And if anyone's been spreading rumours about me I'm going to..." pause. "...Sit down with them and have a nice quiet little talk. Yeah."
