Veronica walked over to give Angel a hug. "I'm glad you made it."

"I haven't hardly seen anyone yet," Veronica said. "I'm glad we're having the alumni brunch on Sunday. Did Logan and Cal make it?"

"Yep," Angel said. And here was Angel very pointedly not looking to see where either of those two people might be. "There around here somewhere. I think. So how's Cameron?"

Veronica smiled. "He's good," she said. "Today has been going well."

"So what about you?" she asked. "The demon hunting business going okay?"

"We're not bankrupt yet," Angel replied. "Plus I think we're actually helping some people. How's college?"

"Helping people is good," Veronica agreed. "And not being bankrupt or dead is also good. Well, more dead in your case. You know what I mean."

She smiled. "College is good. I think I'll pick up some useful skills."

"They have classes in detectiving?" Angel asked.

"I'm majoring in Criminal Justice," Veronica said. "So not exactly detectiving, but close enough. You'll have to call me if you ever need help with anything."

"Was already planning to," Angel said. Of course having Veronica in the hotel would raise a whole host of issues. Then again after inviting Cal to live there how much worse could it be? Which is possibly why Angel then said, "You have any plans for the holidays?"

"Probably just hanging out with my dad, as usual," Veronica said. "Why?"

"I was thinking of doing a thing," Angel said. "Invite everybody over, have a little party. Doesn't have to be on Christmas itself if folks have plans."

Veronica blushed. "We'll see," she said. "But I should go find him because we're getting ready to go for dinner. I'll see you on Sunday if not sooner, okay?"
