Homecoming Part II [10pm-12pm]

Some of the streamers have begun to fall down by now but overall the hall is still looking the same as it was two hours ago, only with more people

"It's terrible," Angela said, closing her eyes and swaying lightly to the song. "Did we walk under a ladder or something on the way here?"

"I thought I saw Faithful cross our paths earlier," Marty joked. "Plus I broke a couple dozen mirrors before I picked you up."

"Let's blame Faithful," Angela said. "Alanna would tell us to anyhow. Though, really, I'm worried about the mirrors."

Marty brushed a lock of hair back on Angela's face and leaned in to kiss her. "Then before this streak of bad luck continues I better tell you now that I'm having a great time spending homecoming with the girl I love."

Angela kissed him back. "And I can't imagine a better person to be my Homecoming king," she said.

She stared into his eyes for a second, then, slightly embarassed by her sincerity, looked down.

Marty didn't say anything else but gently kissed Angela on the forehead.

Angela smiled at their shoes and carefully kept dancing. "Should we do something fancy? Not like I'm that great a dnacer, but..."

"I'm looking at the fanciest person in the room," Marty joked. "Do we need to outclass everyone tonight?"

Suddenly Angela now finds herself being dipped with Marty's face an inch away from hers.

"You mean something like this?"

"Um ... buh.." Angela gets to her feet. "Exactly like that," she said, kissing Marty's cheek. "Thank you."

Angela blushed, thinking what "anything" might entail. "Then I really am lucky," she said. "So ... anything, huh?"

The corners of Angela's lips twitched mischeviously. "Um. Piggyback ride back to the dorms and then we celebrate our triumph in your room?"

Marty turned and crouched down for easy piggy back access.

"It's not like I'll wear it again anyhow," Angela said with a broad grin.

She hiked the layers of skirt over her knees and climbed onto Marty;s back, gripping her hands togetehr securely across his chest. "Ready when you are."
