Sparky Repairs, Late Friday/Early Saturday
John walks Rosette through the front door, after unlocking it and giving the high sign to Register.
In the back room (the one next to the still) is a couchbed and a tv with a stack of movies.
"I had fun."
Becasue his suitjacket was around a certain nun, he grabs a blanket and curls up a bit on the couchbed.
If they're lucky, no one will wake them up early, since they're waaaay in the back. Emo stands guard while Goth is busy designing hoodies for dingbots.

"He's the librarian dude in town. He'd know. Or maybe there's something in the school library, something that'll translate it."

He collapsed back on the couch, the thrown pillow clutched over his stomach.
"I'm just tired of all the yo-yo-ing. It's like this island is a puzzle or something, or a scavenger hunt, with random clues. I dunno. It's just, every time I think things are normal, they're not."

"But...you were just really excited over the puzzle of the treasure map a few moments ago. So what makes that scavenger hunt with random clues any different?"

...she was so not drunk enough for this. She didn't know what to say in response to things like this! Sure, if someone came to her in the church looking for guidance over something like this, she could bullshit some response about God and life and what have you that would do the job just fine and might even make a little bit of sense.
But this wasn't the church...
She didn't know what to say. But she did reach out and gently take John's hand, tried to give it an encouraging squeeze.
"Like you've never tossed out a code just to keep something from being deciphered, I'm sure," she said softly, with a soft smile.

She gulped, her voice taking on a worried tone. "You didn't, did you?"
