J,GoB, Saturday evening

Angel had done more talking in a single day than he'd done in probably ever. But there were still people he needed to see so he handwavily made some phone calls and then went to J,GoB to wait and see if they'd show.

[ooc: specific phone calls this time. Folks he's waiting for got an email to let them know. Feel free to use for your evening J, GoB needs, though.]

Blair bounced pretty much the entire way from school to J,GoB. Putting that together with the fact that he was a normal teenage boy, he stopped at the counter to grab a muffin before heading over to Angel. "Hey, man!"

Angel had gotten warning about Blair's injuries, so he was able to skip past shocked and go for a smile to show he was happy to see him. "Hey! Glad you came down. Where you been all day?"

"Thanks for calling me, man. I was afraid I'd miss seeing you." Blair nodded. "I was stuck in detention. This week it was just for winning the lottery."

"Sucks," Angel said, sympathetically. "So do we hug or am I going to break you?"

"Dude, I'm always up for a hug!" Blair bounced forward. "Then when we're finished I can show you my bruises. You can sorta make out the seatbelt shape still!"

Angel gave Blair a gentle hug. Centuries of experience with torture meant he knew how to avoid hurting Blair while he did it. Not that he'd tell that to Blair, of course. "So this was a car accident?"

Blair hugged Angel back a lot harder, but he could probably take it.

"Sorta, the broken arm was from before." Blair pointed to the last few cuts on his face. "This is when the demons broke the window with the ax. And these are when our car went over the bridge into the river." He lifted up his shirt to display fading bruises in a distinct seatbelt pattern.

Angel let out a low whistle. He studied the wounds with a knowledgable eye. "Christ. I'm glad you're okay. What kind of demon was it?"

"Yeah, me too, man. We were lucky that Aziraphale and Bel respond quickly to emergencies." Blair nodded. "Uh...biker demons? They had axes too so maybe lumberjack biker demons? Is there a kind like that?"

Bel had gotten Angel's message to meet him at J,GoB after he'd gotten out of detention. He wrestled with whether to go or not for awhile, then decided he might as well get it over with. Undoubtedly Angel was pissed that he'd beaten the crap out of Logan, but Bel didn't particularly care.

He stepped inside the building. "Hey," he said neutrally.

Angel smiled, pleasantly surprised when Bel came in. "Hey. 'bout damn time you got your ass into town. What kept you?"

"Detention," Bel said with a shrug. "Stuck in the danger room all day." He still bore the wounds from that, knife slashes on his chest and arms.

"They gave you detention for fighting with Logan?" Angel asked.

Bel smirked. "No, didn't get in trouble for kicking his ass. Phale gave it to me Monday because he didn't like me threatening to fireball one of his students."

Angel snickered. "So you're keeping the temper in check, is what you're saying."

"Got detention next week, too," Bel said in answer.

Coming to J,GoB without any specific IC invitation, The Tick smiled when he saw Angel. "Hello, Angel!" Tick said.

Angel smiled. "Professor Tick, hey! Sorry I missed you at the dance yesterday."

"It's Dean Tick now, actually," Tick said, proudly. "And it's no worry! You seemed to be rather busy."

"Congratulations," Angel said. "Can't picture a better..." Angel faltered for a second "Teacher for the job. Can I get you a donut or something?"

"Thank you!" Tick said. "I appreciate it! A donut would be keen!"

"How are things going with you? The fight for Justice going well?"

Angel went to get them both donuts and coffee. "I started a detective agency. Did I bring you in the loop on that?"

These were the sorts of questions Angel had to ask when he wasn't wholly certain he'd used his email correctly, Bridge enhancements or not.

"Thank you. You may have tried to," Tick said, his technological skills rating no higher than Angel's. "Tech support said that my computer seems to have some user error issues."

"But a detective agency? Well done!"

Angel smiled, geniunely touched by the praise. "Thanks. Here, we've got business cards."

Angel took one that looked just like the ones from canon out of his pocket and offered it to the Tick. He was a little dorky as he added, "'Helping the helpless' that's the slogan."
