Movies in the Park, Wednesday at Dusk
Wednesday has turned out to be a beautiful fall day and a gorgeous fall evening. Just a little while before dusk, a temporary movie screen is set up at one end of the park. There's a large grassy area in front of it, where movie-goers can spread out blankets or set up lawn chairs. Some people are already gathered, picnicing on the grass while the sun sets.
[OOC: The movie begins at dusk, and the screen will be removed afterwards. OCD threadswill be have been set up for your movie-going use. Anyone who needs the park for other purposes will find that the outdoor cinema takes up only a portion of the park, with plenty of space available for non-movie needs. This is the first in a series, which will run every Wednesday until mid-November (barring an unexpectedly cold autumn).]
[OOC: The movie begins at dusk, and the screen will be removed afterwards. OCD threads

Before the Movie Begins
Re: Before the Movie Begins
"What, love? It's stylish and warm."
"It's tartan."
"Being in love means little sacrifices." Kiss!
Flail...sigh...grumble. "Tartan."
But with the Lindsay tartan blanket hooked over his arm, Wilson walked out into the park with the angel. Phale carried a picnic basket over his one arm, the other wrapped around the young doctor's waist as they looked around for a good spot.
"I'm glad you spotted this, lover mine. I adore Audrey Hepburn. I think Katherine had the greater range, mind you but Audrey could just captivate you."
Re: Before the Movie Begins
Setting the basket down, he made himself comfortable on the blanket and waited for Wilson to snuggle up next to him. "I have to admit, though, I've never been to a movie outdoors before. I do like the picnic part of it, though."
Re: Before the Movie Begins
Dark eyes were twinkling as he said this and he leaned over to kiss the angel's cheek, before applying himself to the task of getting the cork out of the bottle.
Re: Before the Movie Begins
His eyes were merry, and he returned the kiss, then began unpacking the rest of what they'd brought along. Which consisted of cold roast chicken for Aziraphale, a vegetable pita wrap for Wilson, and of course the required picnic staples of chips (except that these were sweet potato chips) and cookies.

They found themselves a nice spot, spread out a blanket and settled in. Rosette's bouncing kind of went down, though, when she realized that she had quite naturally made extra food, because she still went in the habit of packing for the expeditions Chrono, herself, and her brother had always gone on when she was younger. And this was just the sort of event Joshua would have loved to have gone too...
Chrono tilted his head, as if he'd noticed the sudden change in disposition and Rosette, not wanting him to worry, quickly put on a smile and started chatting to him irreverently about how this was sure going to beat sneaking out early for missions to just catch the news reels back home.

handwavyoutings in the week, Laura had seen the ads for the Wednesday night movie in the park. It had been at least two years since she had seen a movie; it wasn't something she, as Secretary of Education, had much time to do. She had even less time for recreation after becoming President of the Colonies. And so, at dusk, she wrapped up in some warm fleece, grabbed a blanket, her booklight, and her journal, then headed out the door to the park. She wasn't sure she'd want the journal, but if the mood struck, she wanted to be able to jot down a few thoughts on this bit of "pop culture."She spread her blanket out on the green and made herself at home.
