The Perk, Sunday Afternoon

Dawn bought herself a mocha, then sat down at one of the tables to wait for Buffy. Even with the tape barrier (and tape barrier violation this morning), she was going to be very sorry to see her sister leave.

She really wished Willow was around so she could be all sneaky with the turning away and the whispering of He IS cute! like he wouldn't hear, but she just thought it instead. "Have you been appropriately warned that if you hurt her there will be torture involving at least one of several different very ouch-inducing implements?" she asked.

"Your sister threatened me with a frying pan a few months ago. And after I saw her wield the frying pan on Dean? I definitely take her seriously," he said. "And I give you my word that I'd rather cut my arm off than allow any harm to come to her."

Buffy's jaw dropped. "She hit Dean with a frying pan?" she asked. "Go, Dawn! Um. And... good. I mean, not with the arm-cutting-off because blood can be really hard to clean up, but she gets treated nicely." She's really aware she's had to say that way too much this weekend.

"She did. It was a work of art really," Peter replied, amused at Buffy's reaction. "And Willow will be treated like a princess both because she ought to be and because I don't want any of you Sunnydale folk after me."
