Chilly Boulder, Sunday evening

Hermione feels like she hasn't shown Mrs. Weasley nearly enough before she leaves, so after showing her around the town a little, they stop for ice cream. Hermione holds the door open for her, saying, "Not exactly Diagon Alley, but it'll do."

"Most of the time when I go in there, it seems to be pancakes," she answers. "But they'll make full breakfasts sometimes, or cook dinner... It's even nutritious, I swear."

Molly seems to accept this. "So," she says briskly, "are there...different sorts of magical persons all at this school? It's not purely muggle. I learned that talking to your teacher, Professor Next."

"I like her a lot," Hermione says with a smile. "There are a lot of different kinds, from what I understand. I have a friend who does magic, but nothing with wands. I also know there's at least one other witch here not from Hogwarts who I assume has a different kind, too. I haven't actually spoken with her."
