Empire Records; Monday [ 10/30 ]

Chad was there. Chad was working. Mostly on homework, but it was still working. He went with classic rock today; can't go wrong there, and prepared for another exciting shift at Empire Records.

Ranma pokes in. He's a girl again, and his hair and shirt are wet. Run-ins with the twins. Yay. "Chad. I have to talk to you after work okay?"

Well, for one, Chad was a little surprised to see Ranma stop in to see him at work. Two, he was surprised to see him as a girl. Three, he was suprised to see him as a girl and wet.

And if it weren't for that whole 'I have to talk to you' part (never, never, ever good), his incredibly, painful boring day would have just about have been perfect.

"Uhhh....okay? Can I ask what about?"

Okay. No. Even with the 'I have to talk to you' thing, the wet shirt was still pretty good....

Oh, great. It was something that Ranma thought he would need lots of alcohol around for when they talked about it. Chad sighed, scratching the back of his head, reminding himself it wasn't all that bad. Wet shirt. But, damn. If it wasn't just cruel to stick him with a girlform Ranma after so long to only be the harbinger of bad news. But then again, that would be pretty clever of Ranma. Soften whatever the bad news was pretty damn well.

"Y'know I work here really late, and they're only open til two...Maybe my room?" Especially because it could be good news; it really could. Fat chance, but it was there, and if it was good news...he might want to be in his room for it.

Ranma paused. Well... he really WAS sorta wanting the alcohol just so it would be easier for him to say it. He really didn't want to hurt Chad.. and that's why he HAD to tell him. He had to explain things... and... he really wasn't making this easy was he...? Well... he could drink a bit before... "Sure.. Two then. I'll meet you in your room. Naked.//

Chad nodded. "Cool." He hoped so anyway. "See you then?" Chad's jaw shifted slightly as he said that; he didn't quite want Ranma to leave yet, but that was about the end of the conversation, really. Then back to boring work again, and this time with brooding and worrying.

Chad sighed heavily, more so than he had meant to, and nodded. He wasn't quite sure how he should read that smile. Only time would tell, he guessed. "Yeah. You, too."
