Parker, knowing Ching Tai's reputation for stand-ups thanks to Zero and a few other people, and is glad that Booth met her at her place. So far, so good.

She's really hoping she doesn't have to get drunk with Weiss after this date.

"So, Parker," Seely said, looking at the menu. "Anything interesting happen with you today?"

"Not much, Thursday's my slow day. No classes, no clubs. Except for filling in for Alanna in the Self-Defense Club, since she's still sick." She cocked an eyebrow at him. "You? Isn't today the joy that is Ethics?"

"Yeah, Vader was going on about the seven deadly sins, which is kind of odd for someone who doesn't believe in Heaven."

Parker snorted. "Was he trying to mock the concept, or use them as a guideline of how to become a Sith? How do you put up with Mr. Heavy Breather, anyway? He keeps upsetting everyone else."

"He wanted us to name out favourite," Seely replied. "And he forgot to mention lust too."

He shrugged. "Dad's a cop and Grandpa's ex-military, between the pair of them, it's hard to top that."

Parker grinned, and signaled to the waiter that she was ready to order. "I think I envy your perspective. Does that make me evil in Senor Helmet's pantheon?" She turned to the server, and said, "Cashew chicken, crab rangoon. Oh, and some rose tea."

Then she turned back to Seely. "He didn't mention lust? But that's one of the fun sins. Pride's a bore, wrath gets you in trouble if you don't plan it right, envy's for the weak, but lust-- come on. Who can't related to that?"

"Kung pow shrimp," Seely told the waiter. "And milk."

"I know," he sighed. "Only mentioned pride, gluttony and envy, which are no fun."

"Milk?" Parker's lips quirked. "So what is your favorite sin, then? If not one of the big seven?"

"What a guy can't like milk or something?" Seely asked in mock-outrage. "I'm not supposed to like any of them, since I'm a good Catholic boy and all."

"No, no. It's just very... wholesome." Parker grinned. "And most of the good Catholic boys I've known, had the Catechism memorized for all the times they had to do penance for indulging. Same reason as me."

"Well, you got me there," Seely chuckled. "Lust."

Parker grinned. "Aside from getting beat up, what's the worst trouble you've gotten into because of that sin?"

This was going well. See? She could date. Who said she couldn't date?

Parker took a sip of her tea and cocked an eyebrow at Seely.

"Well, I didn't just ride around in that police car I borrowed."

Parker started laughing. "Did they make you clean it out before you gave it back?" She took one of the crab rangoons that had just been delivered to their table, and took a slow, happy bite out of it. "And did she at least appreciate the gesture?"

"Loudly," Seely grinned. "And we used a blanket, you don't want to even think about what kinds of bodily fluids were there before us."

"Ewwww." Parker looked amused and disgusted. "Was the worst place you've ever had sex?"

Seely thought about it. "The beach. Sand in bad, bad places. You?"

Parker had to think about it, then remembered something that made her grin. She waited until the server set their dinners in front of them, then lowered her voice. "Police station here. During zombie weekend last year. Behind the front desk. Very fun, but the linoleum was not at all comfy."

Seely's lips quirked into a grin. "Why Parker, I didn't think you had it in you?"

"Danger. Imminent threat of death. And I was sneaking around with the guy. It tends to heighten things." Parker smirked. "Not that I'd do it again, I hope. We *so* could've gotten dead."

"From the cops or the zombies?"

"Either. Both." Parker grinned, and shrugged one shoulder. "It didn't happen the next two times. But then I wasn't seeing anyone during the snow monsters or the vampire hunt--"

Jarod's hand on her ankle, fixing her foot. Looking at the bruises on her neck later. Parker swallowed her tea, fast.

"And it wasn't an option during the mummy invasion."

Jarod was out of town, then.

"So I supposed I should be glad we haven't been invaded again."

Parker stopped eating for a second, looking shifty. "No, I didn't. Nope. Not me."

Seely snickered. "You totally did."

"Shut uuuuup." Parker elbowed him, grinning back, and said, "And so what! You whippersnappers have had it easy. A little death and destruction is way overdue!" She smirked. "Now, by the law of reverse tempting of fate, nothing's going to happen."

Seely raised an eyebrow. "Suuuure it isn't."

Parker tried to give him the kitten eyes. "Why won't you believe me?"

"Shush!" Parker pointed a chopstick at him. "For that, you're buying me dessert too. What are you, four?"

"Hey, I was going to do that already," Seely said. "I'm not a cheap date."

Parker grinned, and popped a bite of chicken in her mouth. "Neither am I. But you may find that out at some point later. Not tonight, though." She rapped the chopsticks on the back of his hand. "Although not if the subject of fault and apocalypses isn't dropped. I am never ever ever going to be to blame."
