Sparky Repairs, Tuesday

Teddy was far too excited about Thanksgiving. He had moved on from making tiny metal turkeys (which now decorated the store) to folding small pilgrim hats out of paper and putting them on Emo and Goth.

Next up, pilgrim hats for the turkeys.

Sparky's is open and slightly crazed with holiday glee.

What would an adventuring trek through town be without starting at her most favouritest shop in the world, Sparky's? She drifted in late that morning when she got started.

"Teddy!" Rosette beamed to see he was working. "How the heck are ya?"

"Gooooood," Rosette smiled, quirked a head at what he was working on. Everyone'd been working on so many interesting things around here lately. "Thanksgiving stuff? That's coming up here soon, isn't it?"

"Man, I really gotta star--" Rosette cut off, having idly leaned over to get a better look at what Teddy was making. She cut off with a squeal. "That is so cute!"

"Teddy..." Rosette gave him a very serious look as she planted her fists firmly on her hips. "A hat that size would never fit me, we both know that."

Rosette looked, and grinned. "I would love one, Teddy! I do look good in a hat." She nodded.

"Of course!" Rosette leaning on the counter and cradling her chin in her hands as she watched Teddy work on the hat. "What good, homespun American girl doesn't love a holiday where the main idea is to stuff yer face? I just kinda forgot that it was comin' up. Time travel kinda screws up with your idea of time, y'know."

"That's a good point," Rosette said, willing to give him that, especially since he was making her a hat. "I take it you definately do, too? Or are you one of those people, and, now that you've found out how awesome it is, you're making up for lost time?"

"That's very clever of you, Teddy," Rosette said with a small smile. She couldn't help thinking about how, well, most of her Thanksgivings were spent with those less fortunate, many of them with her on the less fortunate side of things. Thanksgiving memories like that were rather bittersweet, but she didn't want to be sad like that today. So she worked on changing the subject a little instead.

"Have you mentioned that to me before, you being from New York? 'Cause that's where I came from, too. Well, obviously, not New York now, but, y'know, back in '26."

Rosette forgot a moment about bonding over New York. "Hat! Yay!" She quickly started carefully removing the pins that held her veil, sliding it off her head. She set them on the counter and took the displayed hat from Teddy's hand. Her two little blonde pigtails were soon covered again by a paper pigrim hat. She bounced. "Eeee, how it look?"

She struck a few poses that were, admittedly, not exactly pilgrimish at all.

Rosette giggled; she was sure the oh-so-modest habit with slits up to whoa helped her pimgrimness, indeed. She took the offered metal turkey and tucked it under her arm while taking her veil in her free hand. "Thanks, Teddy! S'a great donation! Almost makes up for all those confessions you've missed."

Rosette chuckled at his oh-so-deft topic shift. "Yup. I wanna make it to New York in this day and age and see how much it's changed. I bet a lot has."

"I imagine that things are always really busy and fast moving hasn't changed at all, though." She hoped so, anyway. She liked that about the city.

John randomly wanders in... to see Teddy and Pilgrim Rosette. "Um. Okay."
