The Perk, Tuesday

Aziraphale decided to get a little head start on his class material for the spring semester, but he didn't feel like spending the time alone in the apartment. So, while Wilson was teaching his class, the angel found himself a table at the Perk.

And don't be fooled by the copy of the Telegraph that was opened in front of him to the crossword. He really was working on lesson ideas.

[ooc: Aziraphale is here during the afternoon and totally available for bothering, but feel free to use the post for any Perkish needs.]

The Adventuring Nun breezed into the coffee shop for her usual strange concotion of flavouring, caffeine, and too much sugar, and beamed when she spotted the angel there. She bounced her way over after quickly putting in her order.

"Hey, there, Azi!" She figured the nickname would just be easier. "Thank you so much for the gingersnaps yesterday! Did you make them yourself? They were just divine." She patted her stomach appriciatively.

She beamed. "It was definately a nice surprise. And, I just want to let you know, Chrono and me didn't mean to eat them all ourselves, really. I did try to share them with the congregation as your note requested, but the little old lady who came in that day had forgotten her teeth, and therefor, would have a hell'uva time eating some."

"I'd love to have a seat, thank you!" Rosette pulled out a chair and plopped down, just as the barista brought out her drink. "I'm having an adventure day, going out and about town a bit. Y'know, going out to see people rather than waiting for them to come see me." She bobbed her head knowledgably before taking a sip. She figured Aziraphale would be proud of her for trying to reach out a little bit.

Rosette shrugged a little, biting her lip. "I'm not so good with the service stuff; they don't really bother teaching us how to run 'em, y'know, and, uh, well," she put on a little embarrassed smile, "I kinda fell asleep more often than not when I was actually a part of 'em, or sitting in on 'em, so I don't know much about services in general. But I do have some wheels turning in my head about Thanksgiving...I forgot it was coming up until this morning when I went into Sparky's to visit Teddy, and he was turkey-ing up the place."

The nun got a little quiet, thoughtful, small smile on her face. "I want to see if I can find any orphanages nearby on the mainland, and maybe have a sort of food drive, and donate what we collect to them, but, I dunno, I just thought of it, kind of, today, while walking around. Not sure if there's a whole lot of time to get word around by Thursday..."

Rosette leaned forward on the table, biting her lip a little as she intently listened to Aziraphale, nodding with each suggestion. "That is true; it's a small island, so a great deal of time before hand wouldn't be necissary to get some attention. I've got lots of supplies at the church; I can make up some flyers tonight, an' have 'em all over the place tomorrow. An' you could do something at the school? Put some up yourself, or mention it to people?" She was bouncing a little in her chair, excitedly. Yay! She was going to do something good!

"Better than an old hat!" Rosette answered cheerfully with an enthusiastic swing of her fist. "Thank you so much for the help. I think now the real trick is finding an orphanage or two, but I suppose that won't be very difficult at all."

"No problemo." Rosette gave him a wink and thumbs-up, followed by another excited bounce. And here she hadn't even had all that much off her caffeine yet...
