Teddy leaned against the front counter and tried to read an old issue of Really Fast Guy, but his concentration was shot. Really Fast Guy made him think of Tommy, which made him think of Billy, which made him both angry and depressed. Not a good day.

Agatha walked down the stairs after her phone conversation with John. Seeing Teddy at the counter she nodded.

"Hey. John's been shot, I am about to go see him in the clinic. If anyone calls for me, i will be back later." She scooped up a dingbat and headed for the door.

Teddy looked up from the comic that he was not actually read and nodded. "Okay."

Then his brain caught up with what Agatha had said. "Wait, what?"

Agatha looked at him quizzically. "What what? John was shot. Something about Nadia. Now he is in the clinic, recovering."

Teddy flailed. "When did this happen?"

"Not sure. yesterday i think? I jsut got a call from John a few minutes ago."

Teddy wasn't having a panic attack. Yet. Weren't people supposed to be safe here?

"But- I don't- How-?" Teddy sputtered before calming himself. "Could you let him know that I'll stop by after work?"

And there would be hugging and it would make John feel awkward, but Teddy didn't care Goddamnit!

"Um.. I think they went off-island. And i will. Take care Teddy." She waved less0-then-cheeriely and walked out.
