Luke's Diner [just before closing]

It was almost closing time and Luke was cleaning up so he could head home and spend some time with his wife.

[luke is here for a certain someone, but if you have an overwhelming desire for a burger, you can use the post, just please mod an NPC server.]

Yitzhak just happened to be in the mood for a burger tonight, as he passed the diner.

Pushing the door open, he clumped inside and nodded to Luke, raising one eyebrow in inquiry.

Luke reminded him of himself, somewhat.

"Cheeseburger," Yitzhak said, feeling around in his pocket for a crumpled five-dollar bill. In an uncharacteristic fit of politeness, maybe brought on by his inexplicable sense of affinity with Luke, he added, "Please."

Saying it made him feel a little strange, and not in a good way.

Yitzhak nodded and leaned against the counter.

"Need help?" he asked, abruptly.

Yitzhak grunted briefly, watching the burger cook.

"Yitzhak," he responded, and after a few moments' hesitation reached out and shook Luke's hand, very briefly. He had his limits when it came to being social, and he was pushing them right now. But he needed a job. "Can start any time."

"Works," agreed Yitzhak. His stomach growled, and he glared at it, accusing.

Yitzhak drowned half the fries in ketchup and dug in right away, his eyes widening in surprise. He'd forgotten what real fries tasted like, after months on end of the cheapest, most synthetic fast food possible.

"I can take burger to go," he offered. "Is late."
