Alec had gone out for a run, dwindled into a walk, and was now reduced to a wander. He'd been by the ice cream place, gotten coffee at the perk, and realized that Fandom Town was really pretty small, especially when you had the urge to get lost and kill time.

Now he was between the movie theater and the hill upon which the school sat, barely paying attention as it began to get dark, thinking to himself.

Runa came down the street, if Alec wasn't paying enough attention, it was highly possible he might walk right into her.

Alec was indeed distracted and so the collision was inevitable. He was sure enough on his feet, though, that he just stumbled back slightly, lifting his hands to catch her arms and steady her.

"Whoa," he said, surprised. "You okay?"

Oh, my, this one's a keeper, Runa thought to herself. "I believe so," she replied, smiling at Alec. "Lucky you were there to catch me."

"You're telling me," Alec said, smiling in return. He released her arms as an afterthought, but didn't move away. "But who was it I managed to catch?"

"Runa," she fluttered her eyelashes at Alec. "And does my savior have a name?"

"Alec," he replied, grinning. "I don't think I've seen you around here before; are you new, Runa?"

"Alec," Runa repeated, smiling. "That's a very strong name. Yes, my sisters and I just got into town this morning."

"Sisters," Alec echoed, grin widening. "If you're new, then you could probably use someone to show you around."

"Indeed I could," Runa grinned, leaning in towards Alec so he could get a good look down her bodice. "But first would you like to come and meet my sisters?"

Alec couldn't miss an invitation like that - either of them. "If you think they'd be interested in meeting me, I'd be delighted," he said, not quite able to form any sense of suspicion with that kind of view.

Runa held out an arm to Alec. "Shall we, then?"

Alec took her arm with a grin. "Let's go."
