Efferton Manor - Sunday Morning - Early Afternoon

The night for the captives was a cold one.  Unless perhaps they were a pretty in which case there may have been female trolls fighting over them.  But in general, it was cold. 

The females were getting a bit frustrated at the lack of detail or coherence or sanity in the reporting of the male trolls they'd sent as scouts.  The cream of the crop they may be, but male trolls were still known for noticing nothing more than "shiny!" and "smash now!" 

"We should just go out ourselves and see what's going on," Vsa argued, sweeping an old crockery dish onto the floor with her tail.  "The males aren't being useful at all."

"Except that all these people on the island know about us," Runa pointed out, rolling her eyes.  "If you hadn't left that troll-haired one alone, this wouldn't be a problem."

"Nuaya said there was fighting!" Vsa crossed her arms and began to pout.

Neena slapped her hand on the table.  "We'll just make the males bring us better information."  She grinned evilly.  "I'm sure we can think of ways to convince them."

"The pretty humans could help!" Yuhu interjected, eager to be a part of the conversation.  Her sisters all turned to glare at her.   "What?  I thought we liked them!" 

"For playing," Vaja explained slowly.  "Not for real work."

"We'll stick to the plan," Nuaya said.  "Keep getting information from the captives.  And we'll go threaten the males."  One by one her sisters agreed and went to carry out their tasks.

Jarod was up early, if you could call it being up--he hadn't slept. He could feel himself losing track of the days again, and it was making him a little crazy. He was laps of the room to keep himself awake and aware, but it wasn't having much more of an effect.

Lorelai hadn't slept well, being more concerned with trying to keep Bucky warm. She had no idea what was going on, but hoped that whatever it was would be over soon.

Conner, like Jarod, hadn't slept. Too freaked out by Vaja's casual declarations that they were property and going to be slaves, he'd spent the entire night pacing, futilely searching out escape routes, and wishing like hell for an invisiportal.

So now? Still pacing.

Lana had shivered herself awake repeatedly in the night. She couldn't remember anything but blurred images from the day before. She lay curled up in a corner now, cold and nauseous, trying to keep her eyes open and figure out what had happened to her.

Elliot was awake and getting hungrier, but, honestly, she was more bored than anything else.

"I couldn't have had a magazine in my bag," she sighed.

It'd been a very long night, and Jack had been awake for most of it. He was tired and he was hungry, but he wasn't cold. Evie was curled up in his lap, fast asleep, having much the same effect as an extra large hot water bottle.

Molly has been asleep since she was dumped on the floor yesterday.

If the snoring bothers anyone, they can just roll her onto her side. She won't wake up.

The twins woke in the morning, shivering and achey. Being a captive sucked. They'd hardly slept to begin with, and there was nothing to sleep on cept...the floor. Which was not very comfortable. Ugh...

Then the whole matter of dieing cell phones.

Alec wasn't in the room all night. When he reappeared in the morning, he looked rather exhausted.

For the record? The drawing room wasn't all that warm either, and between shivering and continued fitful attempts at getting free, Sam hadn't managed to get much in the way of sleep.

Bart had gone to sleep wrapped around his stick and counting wee tiny white plastic men in his sleep.

Which is why he was initially confused when he opened his eyes and saw two troopers by a tree. "Toy?"

One stick throw later Bart was standing over a knocked-out trooper as the other trooper snuck away quickly. "Bart need stop drinking."
