Our Lady of Fandom; Monday [ 12/04 ]

There was a slight problem with Rosette's plan of escaping. She didn't have anywhere to go to sleep that night, so, using the secret passages she'd discovered in all her exploration, she had snuck back into the church. Maybe the trolls wouldn't have noticed she was gone.

They did.

And promptly locked her in her room in the basement.

Damn trolls!

After a weekend filled with sleeping, pouting, sneezing, yelling, kicking the door, and trying to pick the lock, Rosette eventually was able to tumble out of her room and into the now rather empty church basement. She had heard all the excitement of yesterday, heard the ringing of the bells, and cheered happily for the victory, but then realized that, wait, no one probably knew she was down there, kept in place with a lock from the outside. But now she'd finally gotten it. Hooray!

First thing she did was go to the kitchen and make about fifty hot dogs because she was terribly hungry. The trolls didn't make nearly as good hosts as she made a hostess, obviously. Then she and Chrono climbed the stairs, fearing what awaited them from the battle.

"Hoo boy," Rosette breathed out with a sigh. "At least this time I know it's not my fault...."

John limps to the front door, admiring the new decor. It's not easy to move around everything in a cast with a cane and a crutch.
