The Perk, CAS Meeting [Tuesday, After Class]

Mac was in the perk again, sitting at a table in the corner with her laptop and a large textbook on CSS, just waiting for the CAS members to arrive.

Given that she and Cally had been hiding indoors away from the trolls all weekend, she doesn't actually have food with her for once. There just hadn't been time. People would just have to manage with coffee alone for today.

Chat chat chat. Coffee coffee coffee.

"I protected the coffee all weekend," Jake said proudly. Well, his coffee anyway.

Mac looked up from her book and nodded, "Same, coffee and cookies, and lots of movies. No trolls whatsoever for me."

"So I like coffee," Cally said. "Ummm, a lot. Yes."

Mac arched an eyebrow. "Oh, really?"

"Yes. I do. Totally love coffee. Mmmm, coffee."

"Then you're definitely in the right place," Mac grinning at her, and closing that book, because she now had much better things to keep her occupied.

"So, what exactly does the society do?" Cally asked. "I mean, other than the obvious appreciating of coffee."

Mac shrugged. "That's really about the jist of it." She shoved her book back on the table and continued, "Normally I'd try and organise something to make it a bit more interesting, but I ~~fell asleep~~ had a busy weekend."

"Really?" Cally asked. "What didja do?"

Cause sometimes, she could be a little insufferable.

"Little bit of this, little bit of that. Hid from trolls with my girlfriend," Mac said. "You know, the usual."

"Wow, I did the exact same thing," Cally said. "Great minds think alike, huh?"

"Oh, yeah," Mac agreed. "It was definitely the best idea of how to spend the weekend. I like being uninjured and everything."

"Me too," Cally said. "Especially when trolls apparently like to play lawn darts with people."

"Lawn darts?" Mac looked a little weirded out by that. "Ouch."

"Nadia got thrown," Cally said. "Hard."

"Is she okay?" Mac asked pulling a face that essentially said 'eep', since being thrown around wasn't especially conducive to being okay.

"Well, she's not dead?" Cally said. "She had an immobilizer and a brace on an arm, though."

"That's... good?" Good seemed a fairly relative term, considering. "But, ow, and that sucks."

"I'm very, very glad we went the far safer route of hiding," Mac added leaning to snag her coffee mug from the table.

"We were definitely smart for saying safe. I think the vice-principal even said so on the radio," Cally said. "So, good for us."

"Not being rebellious or at all fighty-inclined definitely has it's perks," Mac replied with a grin, before sipping her coffee.

"Yep," Cally said. "Plus, I have it on good authority that everyone survived the weekend just fine, so hey, all's well that ends well."

"In any other place, that statement would sound really, really weird," Mac said.

"Good thing we're here then, huh?" Cally said.

"Invasions aside." Mac nodded, "I really like it here. The up-sides make the bits of badness all worthwhile."

"They really do," Cally said in agreement. "They really do."

Mac grinned broadly, then nodded again.

After a couple of seconds, she realised there was something missing... "You want something to drink? That is kinda the point of having this here."

"I think a coffee might be in order," Cally said. "Since, you know, the point and everything."

"The point is also to sit and chat, and get it counted as an extracurricular," Mac said as she started to get up. "So, if you want hot chocolate, or something, that's also all good."

For Lorelai interaction when she pings in.
