While the lights were on, and the sign said Open, there was no one behind the counter.

there was however, the faint smell of, not quite tobacco in the air emenating from the back.

the sign on the window now actually read

HELP WANTED

Photo Hut is open.

The Doctor, the old one with the cane, approached the Photo Hut.

"I say, is anyone there?"

There's a pause, then the sound of some scrabbling and the spraying of something from a can. Then the door to the back room opens and Leo emerges, accompanied by a bit of smoke.

"Hey man!" he greeted the Doctor with a friendly smile. "Welcome to the Photo Hut."

The Doctor sniffed. "Are you... what are you doing back there, young man?"

Heh, young man. It'd been a long time since he'd been called that. It was nice. Unless this guy was with the fuzz.

"...Uh, goin' over, uh, stock man."

The Doctor sniffed. "What sort of stock is that, exactly?"

"Oh, you know, cameras, film, stuff for developin' film." The precise name for the film developing stuff escaped him for the moment. "'Cause that's what I do man."

The Doctor sniffed again. "Are you smoking marijuana back there?"

"...Uhm...no?"

"Nonsense," the Doctor said. "I can smell it on you."

Leo sniffed himself. Ohhhhh, that was nice. He liked that smell. "Is that a problem man? Not I have."

"Hmmph," the Doctor said, turning around to walk off.

Leo decided it might be a good idea to lay low for the rest of the day. Just in case.
