Aereopagitica: Friday [12/15]

Lana opened the store feeling very achy and a bit grouchy. After yesterday's daze she'd decided she'd better go without the good meds except at night. So her shoulder is killing her and all the other bruises and scrapes are making themselves known. Rather loudly.

[OOC: What? It was always in the right comm!]

Clark hoped he'd be able to find Lana at work. He felt he owed her more of an explanation than he'd given her. That and he had her christmas present.

"She's doing just fine Lana." Clark assured her. "She sends her best. I uh, I wanted to come by, I wanted to explain a bit better about what happened. Also i have your christmas present."

"Well it's too late to do anything about that now." Clark said. "I lost the receipt." He gave her a small wrapped box. Inside was an electronic address book, for the keeping in touch with everyone, no matter where they went. "You can wait until christmas if you want."

"Anyway, like I said, I wanted to explain, why I couldn't tell you, where I got that crystal. I won't lie to you about having a secret Lana, but, w-well it's not just my secret to tell. It's your Clark's secret too. I can't reveal mine without exposing him, and won't do that to him. Not till he's ready. do you understand?"

Clark smiled at that. "That seems to be a popular philosophy." he said. It was the best explanation he had that more people hadn't figured it out back home.

"Whatever works." Clark agreed. He turned to go. "Merry Christmas Lana."

That Evening

Billy came in, leading a disembodied pair of legs by the belt.
