Devil's Nest, Saturday
Schrodinger had to say, Fandom was a very interesting place.
Apparently some people found it dangerous. Which was interesting in and of itself.
Then again, not everyone could have their brains blown out and laugh about it later.
The Devil's Nest was open.
[[Oh, and Chrono and Lucifer's conversation? Not for broadcast.]]

He was in a mood.

"Sorry if I've kept you waiting, my Lord," Chrono approached the table and respectfully diverted his eyes. "May I join you?"

Re: The Lounge
"I should have killed you last night. Care to guess why I did not?"
Re: The Lounge
It wasn't, of course, that Chrono believed Lucifer lacked the capability. It just seemed to him that there might have been a strange sense of morality in it. Killing the demon companion of the island's nun probably wouldn't make this retirement of his all that easy to deal with, after all.
But there was always...
Chrono took in a deep breath. It was logical, yes, but it could also just be wishful thinking. "Because...because you might have a use for me..."

Re: The Lounge
"I don't have to tell you, I'm sure," Chrono said, stiffly, "that I'm at your service, my Lord. Under the condition that it is nothing that will hurt Rosette..."
Conditionalizing a deal with the Dark Prince? Chrono was quite bold...
Re: The Lounge
"I am not in the habit of crippling my servants. Your nun is in no danger." His eyes went to Chrono's neck. "Unless you disobey me."
Re: The Lounge
Chrono nodded. "I understand."
Re: The Lounge
But he did have his uses.
"Excellent," Lucifer said. "How much of your power do you retain?"

Re: The Lounge
"I can always force the seal," Chrono told him, the words flowing out of him as Lucifer's touch melted away any barriers that would normally be firmly in place. "I'm powerful enough on my own to do that. I just can't real full capacity without her, her li--"
Chrono's eyes flew open sharply, and he pulled away, flinching almost as if being struck. Why was he telling him this? His eyes shifted across the table with a glare. "It grants me enough," he said sharply, as if that would dissolve what he'd previously said.
Re: The Lounge
There was the defiance from before. It sent a thrill running through Lucifer's body.
He pulled Chrono forward off his chair to a crouching position in front of him. His other hand stroked the demon's neck, nails scratching lightly against the flesh there.
Re: The Lounge
"Powerful enough for what, anyway?" Chrono growled through his teeth. "You have to know what I'm capable of, otherwise you wouldn't even bother with me. Stop playing these games and get to your point."
Re: The Lounge
"My plans are none of your concern, keeping me pleased enough to spare your miserable little life is."
Re: The Lounge
His eyes narrowed. "Am I expect to just know what pleases you? An insignificant maggot like me?" A snide grin forced its way around his grimace, one he knew was just asking for touble, but he couldn't help it. "Might need someone to hold my hand, show me through my trembling, weakling way."
Re: The Lounge
The insistence on fighting back was pleasing. The demon may be weak but he wasn't about to let himself be pushed around. And it had been ages since he indulged in such games.
He pulled Chrono onto his lap, still holding his hair with one hand and keeping him balanced with the other.
"You seem smart enough, I'm sure you'll figure it out."
Re: The Lounge
He tried to reach for his strength, his defiance, but when he lunched for it in his mind, it slipped right through his fingers. He whimpered, and hated himself for it. It was gone now; he was back to being nothing much worthless mush in his hands. "...Just tell me what I must do..."
Re: The Lounge
Lucifer leaned forward and released his grip on Chrono's hair, biting down sharply on his ear. "Obey me."
Re: The Lounge
"...Yes," he finally managed to find his voice. "Yes." He closed his eyes tightly, realizing all too well what he was saying, but unable to stop himself. "A...always..."
Re: The Lounge
He released Chrono's ear, licking the bleeding wound roughly. "Perfect." Whether he was referring to Chrono himself of his promise was unclear.
Lucifer stood suddenly, letting Chrono drop to the floor before heading for the upstairs part of the club where his apartment was without looking back.
Re: The Lounge
He found himself on the floor suddenly with a shock, unable to do much besides stare wide-eyed at Lucifer's back for a moment as the feeling of abandonment and longing overwhelmed him. But it soon passed.
"W..wait!" Chrono called out to him, even if just to see if LUcifer would turn around. Or even stop...
Re: The Lounge
"Are you coming or not?"
Re: The Lounge
A trail of cloak and purple hair followed Chrono as he cut across the room to follow him.
It was much too late now to be thinking of turning back.
