The Perk, CAS meeting [Tueday, After Class]

Mac has dragged herself to The Perk, along with her laptop. So much safer to study with than books right now. She learned that the hard way yesterday.

She's sat in an armchair in the corner typing away, sipping at a large mug of coffee occasionally while she works.

"Yeah, mine are all in the closet, too," Summer said, her voice filled with annoyance. "Makes studying for my government final difficult."

She peered at Mac. "Don't tell me something like that happened before. Though, really, I wouldn't be surprised."

Mac wrinkled her nose and nodded in sympathy. "I've only got internet class tomorrow, and fortunately that isn't really a book learning kind of class."

"Did you miss the singing electrical appliances?" Mac asked picking up her coffee from the table. "That was only a week or so back. My room was like being in the middle of choral practise. I learned that gadgets aren't so good at keeping in tune... or in time with each other for that matter."

"I guess I got lucky. None of my appliances acted weird. Maybe because they're all from 2003?" It made sense to Summer.

"Uh," Mac paused to think about that for a moment. "I'm pretty sure some of my stuff must be from 2003," she pointed out. "Didn't help me. Probably more likely to be flukey luck, I think."

"Ahh, yeah, guess it was just good luck. Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention," Summer said.

"If they'd have been doing it... it was pretty hard to miss," Mac said with a little smirk. She's probably thinking about what happened to Cally, it still amuses her, a lot.

"It could be worse. At least it's books and not cutlery or washing machines or something."

Summer shuddered. "Yeah, knives and stuff would be really bad."

"Considering how many times I've been thwacked by those books the last day or so," Mac said. "Definitely. I really kinda like my life."

"Yeah, I like mine too," Summer said, nodding.

"I'm guessing everything's going pretty well for you then?" Mac said, taking a sip from her mug.

"Yeah, can't complain," Summer said with a grin. "You too?"

"Considering it's finals week and the books are attacking, pretty damn awesome," Mac replied grinning back. "I had a quiet weekend and spent a good part of it with Cally. Makes for a nice end to the week."

Mac nodded happily, "Yeah, so am I."

"How about you, anything interesting in your life?"

"I'm pretty happy with Shawn," Summer said with a smile.
