Teddy was napping under the front counter. He had just finished his last final and thought he totally deserved a break. Plus, under the counter he wasn't being blinded by all the lights the twins put up

Emo and Goth, still decked out in their Santa hats, stood watch for any customers.

Walter, per Miss Clay's request, was there to pick up his Christmas gift for Nadia.

Hopefully John hadn't gone and gotten hurt and thrown off her work schedule.

At the dingbots' alarm, Teddy peeked over the counter to find a customer.

"Can I help you?" He asked politely.

Walter nodded, scanning the shelves for some sign of Nadia's gift. "Yes. I was in last week and Miss Clay said she would have an item ready for me today. It's a multi-tool?" he added hopefully.

"Oh!" Teddy turned to look at the shelves as well, noticing the small gift-wrapped package there. He grabbed it and really wished he had x-ray vision or something. "I think it's this."

"Brilliant!" Walter pulled out his wallet to pay. "Nadia is going to be very happy with this. Please tell Miss Clay thank you for me."

Teddy named a handwavey amount and placed the package in a plastic bag for Walter's carrying convenience.

John had merely amused her with his cast-legged antics. Therefore, Nadia's present was available for pickup, and Teddy would be able to find it on a shelf behind the counter. It is gift wrapped.

John was in no way to be used for amusement. Therefore, one should take pity on the lad and possibly make a bone-knitting ray to speed along his recovery.

"Teddy~!" The twins called out as they pushed into the shop, a plastic bag each in hand.

Teddy grumbled as his napping was interrupted again. "Hey guys," He called from under the counter.

They leaned on the counter and hung their heads over the edge with small pouts. "What happened to the party we talked about?"

Teddy blinked up at them. "Was that today?"

They both nod. "We even brought cookies~" Kaoru ducked away for a second then reappeared, waving a slightly odd shaped sprinkled cookie at Teddy.

Teddy facepalmed. "I'm so sorry guys, I completely forgot the party was today. I didn't bring anything to work with me."

He got out from under the counter and blinked to get used to the lights again. "Want to watch the store while I run and get some party stuff?"

"Whatever." They both get off the counter, Kaoru taking a tentative bite from the cookie he'd been waving-they hadn't tried them when they made them nor had they ever tried the pre-done kind.
"We'll watch the store." Hikaru nodded.

After a very quick trip to All & Sundries (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomtownies/1293525.html?thread=58441685#t58441685), Teddy came back with a few bags of snacks.

"When's John supposed to show up?" He asked, putting various bags of chips on the counter.

"Err..." They exchanged glances. "Don't know. We only kinda told him about it...he was pretty hung over too."

Teddy stared at the twins. "Okay, did he at least know what day the party was?"

"Yes! We did tell him that!" They grinned.

"Okay, good." Teddy nibbled absently on one of the cookies the Twins brought with them. They were...interesting.

"We just made them today! They're the sorta-pre-made kind." Kaoru brought out the tea-ah~tea-as Hikaru went over to look at some potential music.

"What CDs you got?"

Hikaru brought over the stack from near the shop's CD player. "Here. Choose somthing you like." He hadn't really heard any of what was on the CDs except for the classical one...

John opens the door, wearing a backpack, "Heya. Looks like a full house today. What's up?"

Teddy looked through the stack of CDs, absently waving to John. "Hey."

"Why do we have so much classical?" He asked the Twins.

"Because classical tends not to make you wanna build something that'll explode and take out half a city block. Just, y'know, the room. The floor. Maaaaybe the building." John leans against the counter, sticking his tongue out at the dingbots.

"True. If you want, I could play some Rasputina. Or Apocalyptica. It's the best of both worlds. Cuz everyone know you need heavy metal chamber music. Or rock on cello." John's totally straight face would put a ruler to shame.
