The Devil's Nest, Wednesday Night

Lucifer was behind the bar tonight, suit jacket off and sleeves rolled up. He was trying his hand at bar tending. A new drink was already created in honor of this occasion, he called it The Garden.

It was good, but had a bitter aftertaste that some people might not enjoy.

Oh well, work in progress.

Cally had the second box done for Lucifer, so she brought it in to the bar tonight.

"Hey sir, got your order done."

"Excellent," Lucifer said, taking the box and placing it under the bar. "If this sells as well as the last box, I believe you will have a regular customer."

"That is seriously frakkin' awesome," Cally said, sitting down. "Don't suppose a girl could get a Shirley Temple, could she?"

"I suppose," Lucifer drawled, quickly mixing the drink and placing it in front of Cally. After a moments pause, he waved his hand and a small umbrella appeared in it.

"Whoa," Cally said. "Wait... does this really mean you are the Devil guy?"

"I suppose you could call me that, yes."

"I didn't accidentally sell you my soul by entering business with you, did I?"

"No." Luicfer smirked. "Why? Would you like to?"

"No?" Cally said. "I kinda like having my own soul, sir. Sorry."

Lucifer chuckled. "Relax child, I'm not after your soul. What use would I have for it?"

"I never really thought about that," Cally said. "I just sort of thought that's what you, erm, did."

See, Wilson always did have just the best timing! After all, how many evenings would he and Aziraphale manage to catch Lucifer behind his own bar? In his shirt sleeves no less!

Wilson was laughing at some story Phale was sharing with him as they came through the door and headed towards the bar.

"No, really...he actually said that?" Wilson sounded somewhat incredulous as he leaned against the counter and did a classic double take as he saw who was tending tonight.

"James love, you know I would never lie to you," Aziraphale replied with a laugh, his eyes twinkling. "And really, I'm not nearly imaginative enough to make up something like that."

He tilted his head curiously at Wilson's double-take, then glanced across the bar, raising his eyebrows when he saw Lucifer.

"Oh! Good evening, my dear."

Lucifer smirked at Wilson's reaction before nodding to Azirapahle. "Good evening gentlemen."

Wilson was almost curious enough to ask where Mazikeen was but he was somewhat attached to breathing and figured that the smart ass question on his lips would end up with him getting smited.

"Good evening, Lucifer! How are you doing tonight?" The young doctor hopped up onto a barstool.

Very much not wanting to ruin their lovely quiet holiday by having a bar brawl with the Adversary, Aziraphale was glad the young doctor decided against that line of questioning. Although he had to admit to a great deal of curiosity as to why Lucifer was tending his own bar.

"Had a nice quiet holiday weekend, I hope," he added, with a smile, as he took a seat next to Wilson.

A bar fight might be interesting, it might even bring Mazikeen downstairs.

"I'm well," Lucifer said, nodding to Wilson and then turning his attention to the angel. "Pleasant enough after all the decorations were destroyed."

And if either of the two men were paying attention to Lucifer's wrist, they would notice a small bell attached to him by a silver chain. He jingled slightly as he moved.

Actually, Wilson did notice the little bell, only because he was genuinely surprised to find Lucifer wearing the little gift. It hadn't been meant as a gag gift, it had been given with genuine intent as he had explained at the time of the gifting but he...

Well, actually he hadn't known what to expect and as such, Wilson shared a quick glance with Phale before something Lucifer said caught his attention.

"Decorations? There were...decorations, here?"

Aziraphale's other eyebrow joined its mate at the idea that anyone would consider trying to decorate the Devil's Nest. He'd noticed the tiny bell as well, and despite his surprised expression, a little pleased smile hovered on his lips.

"One would assume it wasn't your doing, the decorations. Although really...a bit of seasonal decor surely wouldn't hurt."

Of course Lucifer was wearing the bell, it drove Mazikeen crazy to see. It would be the reason why she was upstairs, resting.

"The club was rented by a few of the students for a party. The decorations..." Lucifer sighed. "They were put up by an employee."

One of Lucifer's eyebrows twitched at the suggestion of putting up seasonal decorations.

Who knew that one little bell would be so good for the after hours life of the Advesary. Wilson would be so pleased if he found out.

Disturbed, but pleased!

"Are they still employeed?" Wilson heard himself ask before he could stop himself.

Then in a quick attempt to distract from his faux paux, Wilson grinned brightly. "But, the next 'seasonal' thing to decorate for is New Years, sure you don't object to an evening centered around drunken debauchery?"
