Late morning, Sanctity
Having spent two weeks in Paris stealing the Mona Lisa, then discovering it was a fake and putting it back, Zhaan was feeling well-rested. So well-rested she was tipped back on her favorite stool, with her feet propped on the counter while she read a graphic novel called "The Ascendancy: Broken Realities".

"Is that far, from here? I should try and learn something about the geography here. I never know where anyone is talking about," Stark said, a bit sheepishly. The sheepishness didn't last long, because he had to grin brightly at being kissed on the cheek and it is hard to be sheepish while grinning.

Zhaan shook her head, "Not as far as it feels, what with the rather primitive air travel." She heaved a sigh, "I never thought I would miss interstellar travel for the convenience of it all. Not to mention the lack of screaming children." A laugh escaped her, "Not that Crichton and D'Argo didn't attempt to be so."

"I think they could count as screaming children," Stark agreed. "Sometimes." He was not going to mention the fact that he'd screamed just as often and probably louder at times. "Have you been traveling a lot? How do you manage? Don't you...stand out?" Because while he was very, very fond of blue people, he didn't think the rest of the planet would agree.

"Perception." She smiled and moved to twitch a cloth straight on one of the displays. "Humans see what they wish to, and, as a tenth-level Pa'u, I'm quite adept at making certain they wish to see someone quite human." Not that it always worked, but those who were too perceptive usually didn't want to be labeled as a crazy person.

"Oh. That's good, that it works. I was talking to someone the other day, about why I hadn't been anywhere but the island. Didn't think I could go somewhere that wasn't here, not with this," he said, tapping his mask with a finger. "And without it would be even worse, I think."

"Quite possibly," it saddened her, a little, that Stark wouldn't be able to move as freely among the humans. But then again, they might simply consider him in the same class as some of the strange men who rode motorcycles. Glancing at the sun outside, she made a decision, "I have been considering your earlier mention of cookies. Would you like to join me in attempting to back some, Stark?"
