Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, Saturday night
Fred opened the shop, having decided to pretend--despite the darkness--that it was actually afternoon. That, or he was opening really, really early Sunday morning.
He laid out the mat, as usual.
[ooc: please say whether you step on the mat]

"Good afternoon, Pippi!" he said. From behind his feet, Puck the Slinky peered hesitantly. Upon recognizing Pippi, he wagged excitedly, if slinkies could wag (and I say they do) and slinked over to her.

"What kind of smell? And how much water are we talking about?"

"That is going to have quite an interesting effect when the two are combined," he said, chuckling. "It can be done, I just have to work on the charm for it. It also depends on how long you want it to last. The hot water and cold water come from different sources, right? They're not from the same place or anything, are they?"
no subject
"Well, yes and no. The water is diverted here for hot water."

"Hmmm.... I could put a general rose scented charm on the boiler, and then an extra concentrated cheeseburger scented charm on the pipe here," he indicated the diversion for the hot water, "so it would more or less mask the rose scent."
He looked at Pippi. "Now, how long does this need to last?" he asked.

"A day? Maybe a weekend at the most?"
no subject
"That shouldn't be a problem. What I'll probably do is create a piece that you can attach to each of the pipes and set off with a word, like we did with Puck's mates. Give me the rest of this... er... afternoon, and I'll have it ready for you tomorrow. Will that work?"

"Yeah; my brother, George, and I sort of found that out the hard way with some of our earlier concoctions. Our mother was none too pleased. But I must get to work! Stop by tomorrow afternoon, Pippi, and I should have it ready for you, with a test demonstration, of course."
Fred bowed her out of the shop.
