Jeff, God of Biscuits: Wednesday morning (after first period)

Jack snagged a table by the window, a large coffee and a chocolate croissant to hand, and unfolded a piece of paper, smoothing out the creases.

After Spy Tech, he'd checked his email, not really expecting anything. Especially not expecting anything from Parker, because hey, same floor, if she wanted to tell him something she could walk down a couple of doors. But there it had been, waiting for him, so he'd printed it out and brought it to breakfast.

He was smiling faintly as he read through it, then stared out the window while he sipped his coffee.

[OOC: Open, of course, for all your own J,GoB needs! Jack's highly interruptable -- I do have to go to bed in a couple of hours, but can pick up pings in the morning!]

Cassie stopped in to the bakery because even a growing 14 year old girl, who is overly influenced by the harsh media standards of what her figure should look like, can't resist the siren call of really good apple fritters.

She waved at the cute boy as she waited in line.

After getting her fritter, Cassie accepted the invitation and sat down across from Jack. "Hi," she said. "I'm Cassie."

"Wow, and, ummm, thank you for brightening mine," she said. "I guess you already guessed I'm new here?"

"Wow, really?" Cassie said. "I hope I'm a good representative. So far I like it here. It's much better than home."

"New York City," Cassie said. "And I've had plenty of warnings. It's honestly not that much different from home."

Having no classes today, River had decided to spend the day in town. She had wandered around, lost in her thoughts when she'd noticed Jack sitting alone by the window. She watched him for a moment, then knocked on the window. When she'd got his attention she did a cartwheel, then waved.

River began to gesture wildly. It might have meant: "Can I join you?"

River grinned and entered the café, taking a seat opposite Jack. "This is a good day," she said.

"Yes, please," River said. "What are you doing?"

Parker hadn't been able to force herself back to sleep after Spy Tech. So after some time around the dorm, she headed into town to do some window-shopping. Seeing Jack through the window of the J, GoB, she tapped on the glass, grinned, then went inside. "Hey. So, what do you think of our new professor?"

"Yeaaah, I'd hate to see what her idea of a proportional Detention punishment would be." Parker slid into the booth seat across from him, and ordered a mocha from the waitress. "Although with Marty and Nadia in there, it might be fun to try."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2007-01-11 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh?" Parker looked at him, and then remembered something she'd sent him. "Ohhh." She looked down at her mocha again, then raised an eyebrow. "Not exactly my best prose."

Parker raised a hand to her lips in surprise, then smiled. "I-- you're welcome." She shook her head, chuckling a little. "I didn't want you to have to take my word for it. In the absence of manhunts, you get a message in a bottle."
