Movie Sign Theater 3000, Thursday evening

Jaye's not sure the last time she walked into the now moddable theater to see a movie. Usually she'd just get bored and walk in while on the clock with a bag of popcorn she hadn't paid for.

The marquee tonight says "PYTHON" tonight and it has Casper Van Dien so it has to be bad.

"Want me to steal something from the concessions stand?" Jaye asks Jarod when they've gotten inside.

[For Jarod, but consider the theater open for your Casper Van Dienish needs. ...Please tell me no one has those.]

Jarod was sometimes law-abiding. He pulled a couple of boxes of candy out of his inside jacket pocket and handed one to Jaye. "I understand sneaking snacks in is traditional?"

"It's amazing what you can find out on the internet," Jarod smiled back. He didn't mention the results of searches he'd done involving the words "movie" and "candy". After talking to GOB the night before, he'd ended up with some very strange dreams. "So, have you seen this movie before? How bad are we talking?"

"Won't that be confusing?" Jarod asked, holding the door for her as they walked into the theater. "Having seen the sequel first? And how do you know it was a different snake?"

"Huh." He looked at her admiringly and wasn't at all searching for an Adam's apple, really. "You seem to be an expert on the subject."

"Is it a waste, if you learned something?" Jarod asked, trying not to look overly relieved at the lack of Adam's apple.

"Glad I could help," he looked around the open theater, having no idea where the best seats were. "Where do you want to sit?"

"There's great," he said, letting her go first down the row. Sydney had raised him to be a gentleman. "So, how's your first week back been?"

He chuckled. "No, though there was a great deal of incense burnt yesterday." Jarod stretched out in his seat and propped his feet on the chair in front of him. "Do you know why GOB would think it was illegal?"

"More little cones, but yeah. And I think he thought I was dating a guy," Jarod said, still trying to work that part out.

Jarod gave her a weird look. "No, of course not."

"Are you dating any guys?" Hey, she said it should be standard. Seemed fair to him.

Jarod took a few minutes to enjoy that image. Hey, nineteen-year-old guy.

"Just another few seconds," Jarod said, then opened his eyes and grinned innocently at her. "There were props."
