Sunday Brunch, Cafe Fina

Cafe Fina was, metaphorically anyway, dressed to the nines. Everything outside was spotless. The floor was so clean that, if you were so inclined, you could probably shave in it. We don't know why you would want to do such a thing, but if you wanted to? You could.

The spread was incredibly varied, with lunch and breakfast food from a wide variety of different places, meaning that just about anything a person could wish for, even if they were very, very, very far from home, was sure to be there.

And, watching over it all, Alfred sat at a table to the side, sadly drinking a cup of tea and talking to anyone who wanted to wish him goodbye.

Dr. Venture didn't like making a habit of things. But the town brunch just seemed like a thing to go to.

Aiden is definitely getting into the habit of Sunday brunches. She settled herself down at a table with a plate of pancakes and took in the place. It was certainly nice. She filed that thought away for future reference, always good to know exactly where the best restaurants were.

Liz decided to try out the Sunday Brunch and so she got scrambled eggs, bacon and a glass of orange juice and sat down at one of the tables.

Honor had heard that Alfred would be leaving and, after the assistance he provided in setting up her first student dinner, felt she should at least stop in to say hello. The fragrant aroma of breakfast -- and waffles! -- drew her closer in to the buffet. She prepared an oversized Belgian waffle for herself and settled in at one of the nearby tables; her guard hovered nearby.

Wilson had finally noticed the lack of a winter coat. Wilson had gently fussed, Phale had promised to get a new coat sooner rather than later, Wilson had gently fussed some more and the angel had gently shoved his lover out the house door on the concern that by the time they got down to the Cafe Fina all the gravlax would be gone.

Wilson harumphed.

But here they were, tumbling through the door, arm in arm and laughing at some shared story. Wilson was surprised to see the group of people already gathered, then he grinned and nodded. Alfred really had come through for people with special occasions in the past, it was good that they all came to say good bye.

Heading for the food, Wilson and Phale loaded up their plates -both were famished today...wonder why- and found a quiet place to sit and eat.

No, the thought never occurred to the nun that maybe Sundays were for church.

Nadia was here entirely for Alfred. The food was just a happy side-effect.

She has a haphazardly wrapped package tucked under one arm as she walks up to Alfred and stands in front of him, half-glaring.

Having finished her waffle, Honor made her way over to greet Alfred. "I understand you're leaving us, Mr. Pennyworth?"

Walter knew goodbyes were unavoidable. He just rather wished that goodbyes here in Fandom didn't happen with so little notice. He waited for Alfred to have a free moment before approaching.

"It has been an honor, sir." Quite a change from his initial opinion of Alfred.

After stuffing himself on the delicious Cafe Fina fare, Wilson made a point of searching Alfred out.

He wanted to say his goodbyes and also thank the man for helping him make Homecoming weekend so special.

"Alfred!" Wilson called out when he spotted him.
