The Devil's Nest, Tuesday Night

Tonight Mazikeen was wearing a very look cut dress on the off chance that a certain silent man might stop in for a drink. She wasn't sure he would, but it never hurt to be prepared.

This might be the reason Lucifer is sitting in the lounge, occasionally glancing over at the bar and chuckling.

The Devil's Nest is open for your drinking business.

If she leaned over, she might even give Emma Frost a run for her money on the cleavage.

After struggling through the news paper and the help wanted adds, Shuichi had managed to find one that seemed...semi plausible. With the first half of his day entirely devoted to studying the right words he'd need for this job hunt, he felt confident-much more confident then he should be feeling.

Upon entering the place, he marched straight up to the bar, setting his hands down firmly and speaking clearly, "Can I see..the owner?" He stares at Mazikeen, trying to look purposeful.

Mazikeen stared down at the pink haired boy, raising an eyebrow at him before pointing over toward the lounge.

Shuichi's head swivled around to where she was pointing, his body following a moment later. "Thank youuu~" He sang back at Mazikeen, tromping over in triumph.

Thursday arrived and headed straight for the bar, leaning against it. "I'll have an Alice in Nightmareland (http://www.drinknation.com/drink/Alice-In-Nightmareland) please."

Mazikeen stared at Thursday, face exhibiting the universal sign for 'Huh?'

"One part blue Curaco, one part Jagermeister, one part kahlua in a glass with ice. And a straw please," she added as an afterthought.

Mazikeen nodded and prepared the unusual drink, setting it down on the bar in front of Thursday.

Thursday paid, thanked Mazikeen and went to find a seat with her drink.

Where there are no scantily clad demons, sadly.

But we do have one terribly amused devil.

Yes, that was a lng tromp.

"Hello." He beamed and bowed a little sideways to Lucifer.

Shuichi was so very lucky that Lucifer was in such a good mood tonight.

"Good evening."

"I saw your ad for a job!" He announced, as if perhaps even Lucifer didn't even know about the it.

Well, that was very to the point now, wasn't it?

Lucifer gestured toward the seat across from himself.

Unfortunately for Shuichi, he'd never interviewed for a job before, and his total lack of knowledge about the language made small talk difficult.

With a bounce of his pink poofy head, Shuichi took the seat intended for him and placed his hands in his lap, resembling a puppy with his eager exression.

Just what this bar needed, overeager and puppy-like bartenders.

Waiting for Shuichi to speak, Lucifer sat back in his chair, arms crossed over his chest.

Uh oh... he was hoping this might be some sort of...question and answer time, not 'you speak, I judge' time.

"Um... I do not have very much experience..." He ducked his head a little, the eagerness turning into a little bit of dread, "But I can learn.." with that comment he nodded vigorously. He'd learn anything, as long as it meant he could earn some money and keep himself afloat.

"Speak in the language you're more comfortable with," Lucifer ordered, growing tired of the stilted sentences.

He paused and tilted his head to the side, //"Like this? You understand Japanese too?"//

Lucifer shrugged slightly.

"Now, continue."

Shuichi frowned. That wasn't really an answer... but that didn't really matter now that he could speak freely.

//"Alright! So, as I was trying to say...I don't really know what it takes to work here, but I'll do anything you want me to! I can totally learn if that's what it'll take."// The pink poof may have swayed a little with his excitement.

Remaining silent for some time, Lucifer studied Shuichi.

"You can start Sunday," He said finally. "If you can't perform the job, don't come back the following week."

It took him a moment for him to process the quit acceptance. //"I start Sunday?! Really?!"// Shuichi pumped one of his arms in the air. He was kind of forgetting the whole, 'what should I do to prepare' part of this offer. //"Sweeet! A job, a job! My first real job~!"//

"Don't be late."

//"Right O Bo-"// He pauses. If he was going to be working there, he might as well know the owner's name. //"Uh, I never formally introduced myself."// He smiles, a little embarassed. //"My name is Shuichi."//

"A pleasure to meet you Shuichi," Lucifer said, nodding his head.

He nods a bow back, hoping that the offer of his name may have triggered his employer to offer his back. //"And uh...what's yours?"//

"Lucifer."

//"Alright, Lucifer! I'll be there! I'm totally stoked!"// He stands with an excited grin on his face.

"Yes, I can see that," Lucifer said, amusement obvious. "I will see you Sunday, Shuichi."

//"Byee~"// He turned to skip away, nearly tripping over his seat on the way out.

Nope, still no demons in dresses here.

...just be glad he lets Chrono take off his pants.
